Christian Bale as Solid Snake ?

It hasn't been decided yet. I think Bale would do okay as young Snake.

I think he can pull it off, but somehow I think the film will fall prey to the movie/game tie-in jinx. Elraptor

Why do people think that someone has to look EXACTLY LIKE the character in order for it to be a good portrayal? It's about the ACTUAL protrayal! Christian Bale is one of the best actors of our generation, he's a LEGIT action-capable actor, and he doesn't take roles in movies that aren't character driven with a good story.

I don't understand how people could doubt Bale. Hugh Jackman would be really good, too, but he's more of a mainstream actor. Bale will understand the character, motivations, reasoning, all sorts of things, on a much deeper level than most other actors would. He's a devoted guy, and if you read the Nuts mag article the rumor started in, you know that he already knows a decent amount of the character.

Here's hoping that Bale gets the part.
