I tried google chrome when it first came out and hated it...
Just tried it again. Holey crap it's fast!!! Especially on GS. Sorry Firefox, we're done. And IE I hope you burn in hell already.

I use Chrome because it is faster, the homepage is convenient because it shows the 8 websites you visit the most frequently, and I don't need a bunch of add-ons.
No thanks. It still doesn't have the infrastructure to enable something as important as NoScript so untill they get their act together I'm still going to stick with Firefox.
I've been using it for most of this year, it's definitely fast. Firefox is pretty good but not as fast as Google Chrome. IE is just all around crappy. then you have Safari which is just okay.

Try mozilla minefield
If using windows, click the one that ends with ".....win32.installer.exe"
I completely agree with this. However the only add-on I really enjoy on firefox is the youtube downloader.I use Chrome because it is faster, the homepage is convenient because it shows the 8 websites you visit the most frequently, and I don't need a bunch of add-ons.

Chrome isn't really faster than FF except in Javascript. And by my experience Chrome actually performs worse than firefox in older computers.RichardStallmanYou cant use either! neither are Free Software! Come on Stallman, I thought u had morals. :)

And Chrome is based upon the open source Chormium project. And Webkit is open sourced and was originally built upon the KHTML platform.

I don't know my ex put chrome on computer and I have to say I really can't tell the difference between this and any other honestly...
I use Chrome and I love it. Earlier in the year at a hackers convention it was discovered that of all the internet browsers, Chrome was the only one that could not be hacked. It was also the fastest. That's reason enough for me to use it. Also, I don't ever get any popups with Chrome.

OFB: Do you see the use of Free Software such as Firefox on Windows as a good step, or does it diminish the value of a totally Free system? RMS: I had better correct a common confusion. The Firefox binaries distributed by the Mozilla developers, like all their binaries, are not free. To use Firefox as free software, you have to build it yourself from the source code. We're talking with the Mozilla project about cooperating to change this, but in the mean time, we're looking for people who would like to build and release free binaries that we can recommend. http://www.ofb.biz/safari/article/353.html this is why gnusense ships with epiphany :)
It's faster than Firefox because you likely use add-ons with Firefox....:? I'd much rather have AdBlock and have a slightly lower performance.spazzx625
This. I'm willing to settle with a slightly slower browser in exchange for much stronger security. My webpages load up fast enough for me already anyway, so I don't see any need to make it any faster since I doubt I'd notice the improvement. I would, however, notice the lack of adblock plus, WOT, TACO, and noscript.
