I'm no feminist, but the idea of judging a person based on their anatomy and your prejudices associated that anatomy seems foolish to me; so I'm not exactly fur it, but I ain't again't it, neither.

Also, there are dozens of countries around the world where a female "head of state" -- which a President in the U.S.isn't supposed to be, really(read your constitution, there are supposed to be three equal branches of government, all checking and balancing eachother) --is old hat. But, isn't it sort of true that Hilary Clinton's notoriety in politics comes about as a result of her marriage to a former President? Many of her accomplishments in politics came about during her time as the "First Lady" (which sounds so rediculously monarchal it's sad, but moving on). That strikes me asnot the sort of narrative a feminist would want for the story of the first female U.S.president. What about a woman who rose through the political ranks in her own right? Instead of on the coat-tails of her husband, that is.

I'm just sayin' is all...

I myself am against Feminism. You see they try and clump Gender differences in with racial differences, and the whole "all are equal thing". But that's wrong. There is no difference between a black man and a white man, but there are significant differences between men and women.

We should be allowed to judge someone on somethingssimply based on Gender, and the military is legally allowed to do so, unfortuanatly other manual-labor jobs are not, some being forced to make it easier for women to get accepted, even if they can't meet the physical requirements.

Feminism is bad. We need to accept that men and women are different in very real way's and accept there are some things they can't do, and some things we definetly can't do.

And Clinton...Hell, there's enough wrong with her in her own right that you really dont even have time to touch on the fact that she's a woman. I have reasons for feeling a woman isnt right to be commander and chief, but damn, Clinton has twice as many problems as that. She's a clinton, for one, and she's a nutjob :P.

Of course it was, he had sexual relations with Monica. Oh, oh, HILLARY. Nah, my money's on Ron Paul and much more of it on Barack. As a Republican who respects the Constitution, he at least has my respect.

It's not like her husband held her hand the whole way.. she's a successful woman in her own right. That's not to say Bill's presidency didn't help her at all though, because it obviously boosted her. I don't think feminists would have anything to complain about with a woman leading the country.

Most of the posters in this thread missed my point entirely. Which is, to point how sad it is that the first woman to be seriouslyconsidered for the job got her notoriety in politics by being married to someone.

Maybe it's because that's the only way a woman would ever be considered for president?

Maybe in the United States, but as I said in the opening post, in other countries, a female Prime Minister or President is old hat.

The power that a Mayor or Governor has is very insignificant when compared to the power of the Commander n' Chief

Well there are also high ranking female military officials.

Having a penis doesn't necessarily make you a smart military tactician.

Male's are designed for combat, violence, hunting. To do these things also requires natural skills in tactics, strategy, and combat. The female body has not evolved to do this and is naturally weak, thus, obviously the male is the warrior, and would be more proficient in these area's.

Also, in the military, women are not allowed on the front lines in the US military with the exception of cargo escort and transportation, Last i checked.

The only lenient divisions i know of are the Airforce and Navy with concerns to their pilots, but then there's also a reason the Marines always rag on them too....

I don't think you've made the case yet that a woman cannot make military decisions.

You say to be a warrior requires a tactical mind, and then you said women lack the physical prowess. I don't see how that argumentflows. And I'm fairly certain Osama bin Laden could kick F.D.R.'s ass in a fight, but that doesn't mean F.D.R. was a bad president. The role of president is 100% psychological, zero percent physical, so even with your argument, a woman could do the job.

Women and Men are different. Why are Feminists so determined to make everyone equal? Give women rights to be treated as human beings; don't treat them above or below men. At the same time, don't treat them AS men. Men and women are different, so naturally we are better at different things. I think a women is best for diplomacy, but not as a sort of head of state, aka president

While I don't agree with HC on most any issue I don't think it would beher womaness that would betheproblem. Women have provedover and over again that they are able to handlejust about anyissue just as well as any man.HC would bepositive as far asfemales go but I don't think her policies would greatly improve our country.

Why not? Other female leaders have coped quite well in war situations.
