Before I get modded, we're discussing commercials not video games. Ok, have there ever been any commercials that made you want to buy a video game? There was one in particular for me. I was kinda on the fence about getting Black Ops when it came out until one day I was in gamespot and this trailer came on the TV. I was just like Sweet Jesus I'm getting this game. The trailer/commercial for skyrim is pretty friggin nasty too. So are there any other commercials or trailers that were the deal breaker for you getting the game? Post the video if you can! Same here. The one thing that sucks is following a game from the beginning and seeing the devs not fulfill they're original concepts and ideas the day it comes out years later. :/

That actually was a great game. But I dont ever remember seeing an ad for it. Yea I recall only seeing it about two times. It stuck in my mind because at the time I had a gamecube and I was looking for something a little more gritty than the games I had. I see the ad for Metal Arms play and as I was watching it, I was like, "please also be for gamecube, please!!" The end of the ad came, I saw the GC logo, and I was sold. I'm pretty sure I bought that game within a week after seeing the ad.

I can honestly say I never bought a game based on a commercial alone. I always bought it based on reviews I read. In fact, some games I liked had commercials that would have turned me off from getting it if I went by that alone. The commercial for Final Fantasy 3 (SNES) was horrible and didn't show a second of gameplay. Yet the game itself was one of the best ever made.
