Hey guys so recently I've been reading the news on a national and local level. I'm all for criticizing Presidents - after all they make mistakes and generally leave the people unhappy at times. But there are those people who think that this country, with the help of Barack Obama, will plunge into some sort of North Korean-esque nation. These are from letters I have read in my hometown and to me they are deeply troubling. I think we can all agree that America is a highly capitalist nation with some socialist policies. This isn't news to anyone, we are a sort of hybrid in many ways. There are millions of people who have died under communist regimes who would laugh at our faces if we were to ever call our nation Communist. Barack Obama would make for the worst communist dictator this world had ever seen. Nations would laugh at us. Recently the Supreme Court ruled in favor of the ObamaCare plan - and made it a tax. Sure, that's something most people don't like, giving their money to government. It also raises the issue of how large the Federal Government is becoming. But come on guys this isn't like all of our property is being stripped from us, this isn't like every time I say something bad about the Obama Administration the Gestapo will find and kidnap me. I can't recall a country that was ever truly capitalist or ever truly communist. You need to have both to survive. This is the end of my rant. I know most people don't consider this country to be going into Socialism and whatnot, but I feel like the issue needed to be addressed. Barack is not the greatest President to have lived in the White House, but his policies have helped this nation in many aspects.

they probably have never been out of The United States.

Barack Obamba is admittedly an inexperienced politician, but if he were in the EEU he would in all likelyhood be considered a moderate and possibly not a left leaning one at that.:P

it is all a matter of perspective.;)

George W Bush was also not what you could consider a conservative and was a left leaning moderate - his policies are almost indistinguishable from Obama.

How many people have noticed that most of the programmes of President Obama are simply expansions of those already started by President Bush?

I can understand taking easy routes in lieu of actually formulating constructive points, but calling a center right corporate stooge a "communist" is a bit TOO silly. Oh well, must be the Leftist Narrative inside of my head talking.

He is a Socialist, his obamacare speaks for that. He flat out said he is a socialist. And he is a Constitution scholar, which he knows the loopholes. He is using those loopholes to inject even more socialism into the system. He wasn't the first president who injected socialism into the system, but he certainly injected the most. If you want socialism, move to Canada.

What's wrong with Europe? Some of the most efficient countries in the world are European (e.g. Norway/Sweden). Actually saw an interesting picture today when browsing the web in relation to this, hold on:

Not even close. That would be FDR or LBJ. Obama might be socialist, but he is also an ineffective leader that hasn't been able to pass many of his socialist ideas.

That's the "beauty" of the European world order as it is, there's no southern or northern anymore. There is only money to be stolen, sovereignty to be snatched and one megalomaniac machine.

Yeah that really has nothing to do with socialism, that has to do with our governments stupidity. We could easily make education more affordable and spend less money on prisons under libertarian policy.

His policies have helped to make government bigger like in North Korea. The article about the Obama administration is the least spending since Truman or 50 years ago is true. And that's horrifying. Bush raised the spending levels in the government before he left and Obama plateaued the spending, with an increase. The difference between Clinton and Obama? Literally is Bush. Blame Bush all you want, I do. But blame Obama too, because he didn't reduce the spending, but maintained it.

At least one thing the EU did well is demonstrate how useless democracy and in particular referendums are. "Oh the people voted against a EU constitution. Hm. Let's drop the word constitution. Treaty? Treaty! Lisbon treaty, have fun plebs. Brb, they are delivering Maddie soon" - J.M. Barroso. Scumbags.
