Dude, I've always been taught that falling asleep during the day isn't what you are supposed to do, since you are suppressing the hunger. Instead the hunger is supposed to be your constant reminder through the day that you are indeed fasting, and a hence a reminder to do i'bada during your normal day. As for fun, who said we can't have fun? As long as fun falls under what is permitted during a fast, it is ok. There are only a few things we are fasting from, none of which should be preventing you from having fun.
Ramadan for many people is a fun time, as we are worshiping our lord and creator and meeting with all our friends/family on a daily basis. Meeting with new people at Iftars at the Mosque, breaking fast together, etc. It is like 30 days of Thanksgiving, and then some.
Sorry if it sounds like I'm trying to argue with you, but you are making it sound like Ramadan is supposed to be monotonous.
Yeah it's not tiring at all! How about this Ali, In kuwait it's 48 C degrees now and we're fasting and the sunset prayer calls in 6 p.m. yet nothing is hard for us. Fasting today isn't like whatit used to be where there were no ACs to cool the houses or TV full of shows both religious and stupid drama or whatever TV channels here race to show only during Ramadan or playstation with people gathering on it like ants on sugar to kill time until it says allhu akbar. Fasting today is alot easier than it used to be infact every islamic pillar is alot easier thanks to technology and time running like :? well it scares me but it's the truth and fasting was never tiring. You know I'm going to college during Ramadan too!
