Controversial Songs

What are your favorite/most well known controversial songs?

Much of the Beatles/John Lennon type stuff would qualify as my favorite. A lot of anti-war, anti-government songs. Most certainly John Lennon's "Imagine", my personal favorite song.

I remember John Lennon's statement during an interview, that the Beatles were more popular than Jesus, caused a rather large uproar during Bealtlemania.

Nothing to do with Led Zeppelin, but it just came to mind when I read what you wrote..

I like Beatles and Ozzy Osbourne's stuff.. but most of that stuff is no longer controversial seeing as how it was attacking events that occured during when their songs were made.

The other bands weren't well known enough at the time to be considered controversial. It was just apart of the scene's image at the time.

Seriously, they WERE getting crazy over the song, this is whythey shouldn't let terrorist's from Iran on the internet....
