[QUOTE="chaplainDMK"]using the PC without having internet Nibroc420

With fiber optics, and "The Cloud"

They'll be confused as to how that would even work.

I'm not going to lie, but when internet is not available I have no idea what to do on the PC anymore haha

Vinyl. Digital music doesn't come even close in sound quality. Sadly even CD's are becoming obsolete. There's just something about actually holding your Vinyl, Cassette or CD artwork, lyrics, credits, photos, etc in your hands that makes the music that much more personal. This is something the iTunes and Torrent babies will never experience.Murderstyle75

Vinyl is actually making a comeback, and has been for awile.

The birth of the audiophile has given a rebirth to the Vinyl record from fans wanting it's sound over digital.

The attachable lights that you could put on gameboy colors so you could play in the dark. Now with the brightness of everything little kids will never have to worry about getting pokemon eye strain......pansies.

Mercenary848

gameboy color?.. pansy.    my brother had an original gameboy. he had an attachable light w/ a magnifying lens as well to make the screen both usable at night and look a bit bigger.

Books is a good one

dial corded phones (these were my first phones I remember, from my Grandmas house)

VCR players (replaced by DVD players)

Record Albums and players (replaced by CD's and players)

boom boxes (huge in the 1970's and 1980's)

cassettes (replaced by CD's then DVD's)

typewriters (replaced by electronic keyboards)

DOS operating system (replaced by windows)

....plenty more just can't think of them now

I still maintain the 1970's and 1980's were much better times to live in, particularly in the U.S. where America was flourishing.

They still make Marshmallow Fluff. It might be on the baking aisle in the grocery store. I think it is over in the ice cream aisle at my grocery store though.

My Ma still has a dial telephone. It always works when the power goes out.

TVs without remote controls are what I was thinking of. If you wanted to watch something on a different channel, you had to get up from the couch to change it yourself. If yoy watched TV with your parents, it was often the kids who changed the channel for the adults.

Certainly none of my kids will have iPads. It was rather pathetic the camping trip I went on last month seeing half the kids at the campground, nose deep in mobile devices.
