Marijuana make you act weird if my friends dad/mom smokes it while where around them it would be very weird. You can drink alcohol and still act normal where as with marijuana thats probably not the case but im tired so im not going to really explain myself I still voted yes because I think its possible.
Hulkness
Alcohol makes you acts anything but normal. Too much of it and you're either in the hospital from alcohol poisoning or severly incapacitated. Marijuana at the very most after to much consumption either puts you sleep or I suppose can make you sloth-like after to much, whatever to much is.
[QUOTE="CubePrime_basic"][QUOTE="Darth_Tyrev"][QUOTE="Hulkness"]I wouldent want to goto my friends house and see his parent smoking pot right in front of me.Hulkness
... why?
yeah ... why?
I dont like to see adults act really weird in front of kids like me. Granted im 16 I still find it kind of weird.
The older you get... the more weird things become.
Doubtful it ever will be.
Do you want to be the politician who pushes the bill for legalization?? Talk about political suicide. Who would want to be known in their district as the representative who campaigned for the legalization of marijuana??
I think, at the most, the punishment for having it will be downgraded to a misdeamenor, like a traffic ticket. This is alread the case in many cities.
lolNot as long as I'm alive.
Dracargen
You alone can keep the ganja at bay?
To the OP. Anything is possible.
I think it more likely that alcohol become illegal, though.

Right. If I'm not mistaken, I think you hold/have up to something like an Oz in Hawaii - Alaska - Denver - Cali(?) and to a certain extent, I've heard that Chicago will be next to have a downgrade charge of it if possessign certain amounts of it. I can only hope,....
We, the Dutch, were the first to legalize marijuana, weed and hashj as a recreative drug. So far we seen crimes over drug related incidents go down (since it's cheap, 7,50 euro's will get you a pre-rolled joint), and drugdealing go down aswell.
The only problem it has brought to us (dutchies) is that the germans and belgians actually commute to holland to smoke a joint in a coffeeshop (note: Dutch Coffeeshops, have nothing to do with actual Coffee).
It's legal to own, smoke (non public, exception is coffeeshops), carry. It's illegal to sell without a permit, or sell to anyone younger then 18. The government does keep close track on the sales tho.
Benefits, non commercially made weed is bad for u! (mkayyy?) Goverment makes sure that non of the excessivly bad junk is in the weed you buy. People no longer need to deal the drugs on the street so less muggings in that area. Goverment can tax it, more cash for the goverment means less tax for us. And we can start legaly experimenting. Per example 'The Green Lung' instead of smokeing it and getting tar and nasties in ya, theres an invention called the Green Lung wich heats the weed through steam. Wich produces an always high feeling (no more stoned, you just get high. Yes theres a big difference) and doesn't make you cough at all. As an added benefit, the weed lasts twice as long.
Yes, and I think it SHOULD be. It is in the top 5 safest drugs list. It could be taxed to bring in government revenue. It would lower the crime rate. It would get rid of a lot of people in the crowded prisons.1stCommando
I'm for the legalization of marijuana, but you make a really bad argument.
"Top 5 safest drugs list"? You just made that up. Marijuana isn't as dangerous as some people think, sure, but to say it's on a "Top 5 safest drugs list" is ridiculous.
I'm with you on the tax thing.
It would lower the crime rate, but using that argument, why don't we just make everything legal? The crime rate would be 0.
As for the prisons, eh, maybe.
It's already semi-legalized here in Denver. As I understand it, it's legal to posses less than an ounce.SmashBrosLegend
Exactly what I thought, it is legal in other countriestooo.
I'm not sure. Its not exactly a dangerous drug, but since its illegal people do it in privacy and dont walk out in public smoking a joint. This is one of the reasons why I dont think it should be legal. Everyone would be high all the time since they are addicted to it, and it would influence everything negatively. Everyone I knew who smoked pot was just going through life, and when they got the scent of their weed stash nothing else mattered. So, if everyone was high, nothing would be as efficient. This is why if it is legal, it would either have to be allowed in certain cafe's and bars that have the licenses for that kind of thing, or it must be done in the user's own home without influencing the rest of society.
