Could you play a game like this?

Im playing it right now... Its called Dwarf Fortress, and its crazy fun. Its hilarious and very descriptive... the only thing is that the graphics... well there arent any basically. And it takes a few hours/ tries to understand whats going on.

Could you play a game that looked absolutly terrible, but was really great once you got used to it?

For a moment it made me think of SubSpace Continuum.

Its called a Roguelike... theres tons of games like them. They just use letters and symbols to represent things. In that picture there is a dwarf just leaving from a drinking well, and getting something to eat from a feed stockpile :)

That would actually be pretty awesome. But you need a keyboard for all the commands you have to give :(
