Buried inside the story is the fact that the man's reckless driving caused someone else in another vehicle to be seriously injured. He shouldn't have been driving.

JML897
Yea, was going to say something about old people driving. They shouldn't be allowed to drive unless they pass yearly tests or something like that. Their reaction times are dramatically reduce which increases the risk of them getting into a car crash and making it unsafe for drivers around them. Still a touching story though.

No, not guts. More like a stubborn cling to independence and refusal to acknowledge the reality that he is not as capable as he was 30 years ago.

That it's cool when 2 people who are really close (in this case a couple married for 72 years, and in that one, twin brothers) can just die together.

If this article was titled "Man kills wife and himself because of at-fault accident" then there wouldn't be so many "awwww's" in this thread.

Nothing. Does everything have to have innuendo or double entendres?

And? That's the only other situation where I know of 2 'related' people dying practically simultaneously. The only conclusion you should be drawing from that is that when two people are close (either like twin siblings or in this case a couple married for 72 years), there is an emotional bond there.

Dude, they were BROTHERS. If the Priests in question were "best friends" and they died simultaneously, and then I said that, fair enough. But I clearly specified TWIN BROTHERS.

They killed each other by squeezing their hands together.

Not to mention that they probably hated each other...
