Cover songs that you think blew the original out of the water?

I'm listening to Instant Karma by U2 (originally by John Lennon, for the very few people who didn't already know). It's good, but not nearly as good as the original.

So it got me thinking. What are some songs that are much better than the original version?

Beyond The Realms of Death (Judas Priest Cover) - Blind Guardian it's just miles better than the originalfunsohng

Feeling Good-Muse (Actually was voted the best cover ever in some poll)

The Metro-System of a Down (I think the original flat out sucks, yet this cover is one of my fav SOAD songs)

The Man Who Sold the World-Nirvana (Sorry Bowie, I mean no offense but I feel they just took this song about 10 levels higher here)

Where Did You Sleep Last Night?-Nirvana (Kurt's vocals are absolutely chilling in this song)

Opeth-Remember Tomorrow (Honestly, I don't like the original Maiden version at all. I think Opeth really makes this song amazing)

Definitely Imagine by A Perfect Circle.

Seether's cover of Careless whisper, simply because there wasn't really much to upstage in the first place.

As for Johnny Cash's cover of Hurt, I wouldn't say it's better or worse than NIN's. Johnny's cover was so heartfelt and emotional to the point where he changed the original meaning of the song for himself, making it somewhat of his own. Neither version is really better IMO, because they both represent a different part in a man's life, and that's why Cash's cover is so great.

Seether's cover of Careless whisper, simply because there wasn't really much to upstage in the first place.
