Its the Streisand effect, I'm surprised the whiners didn't realize they would make it even more successful by complaining about a completely innocent ad that doesn't even try to provoke any sort of argument on evolution vs creationism. But I guess some people are morons and have to creat a chain reaction of stupidity that only makes them look worse each time, good for Dr. Pepper I guess, I love that stuff.

The sad thing is, creationism is treated by these people as the word of God and some indisputable thing. It isn't Evolution is scientific fact, something many, many people or many religious backgrounds accept because its not the same thing as turning their back on their beliefs. These people give religious people a bad name, put them all in the same pot and its unfortunate. Creationists are dumb.

[QUOTE="Inconsistancy"][QUOTE="brucewayne69"][QUOTE="Zeviander"] No one who claims that evolution is false could be considered "smart".

No one who claims evolution is proven true could be correct

Evolution is demonstrable. It's 100% as true as gravity, the configuration of the solar system, and the shape of the Earth. If anything, it's more true than any of those, as it has been proven much more accurately than those.

Just because you observe gravity on a daily basis, doesn't mean it's more well understood than another theory.

I believe in evolution, but it can't be PROVEN 100% true.

And how, exactly, do you prove anything "100%" true? How do you measure the percentage by which something is true?

Wrong, I just dropped my pencil as an experiment.

And I was being technical. Technically, evolution areis not proven true.

It's not philosophy, it's fact. Evolution isn't a Scientific Law, it's a Scientific Theory (which basically means it's true but can't be 100% proven). That being said I believe in evolution.

I don't think Creationists are stupid like people on here believe, I just believe they do not understand evolution or just are not educated enough on certain scientific manners. Being naive does not mean stupid.

They just need to learn, of course some of them are die hard fanatics and don't want to learn, but that is their own problem. I think if people approached them and just explained evolution to them in a clear and honest manner, instead of yelling at them and judging them like people on here do, the Creationists would be more welcoming to Evolution.

Science and God are not enemies like people think. God made Evolution and used it to create humans and other life forms. Evolution by Design.

It's not that hard of a concept people.

Also, I'm not 13

Law = Observation*
Hypothesis = Attempt at describing observation
Theory = Accepted description for observation and not disprovable with current knowledge. (the highest order of "truth" science can provide)

*Evolution and Atoms were essentially laws (simple observations, without adequate description)~2400 years ago in Greece, they became theories much later when they were actually described. We forgot of the laws of evolution/atoms due to the mistrust of science throughout history, including the burning down of the Library of Alexandria, destroying nearly all the art and science that had led up to that time.

eg. of a law:

Second law of thermodynamics:The entropy of any isolated system not in thermal equilibrium almost always increases. Isolated systems spontaneously evolve towards thermal equilibriumthe state of maximum entropy of the systemin a process known as "thermalization".

It doesn't explain 'why' this happens, it's just an observation.

Because defintions of words are absolute and cannot have more than one meaning. Alright. But again this is pointless to argue about.

Ah, my bad. I had a huge brain fart, don't know what I was thinking. But yes evolution is almost certainly true, the only reason that it isn't (and other things like gravity) aren't considered completely 100% true is the future. We don't know what we are going discover, so we can't say that something won't change everything we know now 200 year's from today.

Wow... just wow.. pure genius. This must have been planned purposefully, knowing that it would spark controversy. Anything that begins to involve religion now a days is being protested. I mean, just look at "Christmas Break" in schools.. now being called "Winter Break". The creationists create a huge controversy, unintentionally "promote" Dr.Pepper up the wazoo, all while I and millions of others sit back and enjoy sipping on my *diet* Dr. Pepper. Quite billiant when you think about it.
