As someone else has pointed out perhaps you receive bad customer service because you are a bad customer. Anyways funny/scary video below. Also Mark is an awesome employee.

Honestly I think we need some story or video of a customer like this getting thrown out for acting that way.

I would have informed him that his service with that company would be dropped and he will have to seek his services elsewhere. Anyone that retarded shouldn't be allowed to own services of any kind. He certainly shouldn't be allowed on a telephone.

That has to be fake, no way anyone would remain on the line after being threatened like that.

Also as someone that has worked customer service for ages, it is amazing how many dicks are indeed out there that treat customer service employees like shit.

my wife works at a call center and the moment anyone threatened to shoot up the place she would have sent the cops to their home.

it is actually irresponsible to not send the cops just on the off chance that  it happens.

I spent seven months in a call center and never had anyone close to this. It does get bad, but this is sort of an extra special situation.

I've had people throw cell phones at me because I wouldn't exchange them...even though they were like 7 months old.

This is why I like having a professional job.  The only people I have to put up with when they go apeshit like that are VPs and up.

[QUOTE="EagleEyedOne"] Are you saying the customer isn't always right?

Hell no, the customer is not always right. If you go into a restaurant and ask for the chicken entree rare, then you're WRONG. You don't eat that $hit. If you want to eat that $hit, then you're wrong. And if you still insist, then you can cook it and prepare it yourself. The company should ABSOLUTELY tell you that they aren't gonna fulfill your request, because what you're requesting is wrong and stupid, and it would be irresponsible for them to treat you as anything other than a moron who has no idea wtf he's doing. Now, granted, the above is an extreme example. In most cases, the customer may still be wrong but you still do what they say because they're the ones giving you money. But just because you do what the customer says DOESN'T mean that the customer is right. Very often, the fact that they even ARE customers is due to them not knowing $hit. I don't know how to fix my freaking car, that's exactly why I take on the role of a customer and pay someone else to fix it for me. I don't know the first f***ing thing about wedding photography, so that's why I become a customer and hire a wedding photographer when I need wedding photos. Very often, being a customer entails "having a problem, being completely unable to solve it, and solving it anyway by throwing enough money at the people who actually know what the f*** they are doing." Customers are wrong A LOT. How can anyone seriously make the claim that customers are always right, when it's often the case that they're only customers because they don't know $hit?

This, customers are idiots. All the time. I work with a surveying firm over the summer usually, and the crap people spew when you're there... You're working with a GPS tool that's precise down to a millimeter, if it isn't accurate down to 5 centimeters we can't work with it. Than some old guy comes and starts yelling at you that his property goes on for 20 more meters or something.

Yesterday, I didn't realize it was Friday the 13th until 6:30 PM. O_O I don't really buy into the bad luck superstition. You're far more likely to die on one of the other 364 days of the year. :P

Well, not ALWAYS. Sometimes the customers are totally competent, even more competent than the people they're hiring. Yeah, they can do the job or accomplish the task well, it's just that for whatever reason they don't want to. Sometimes it's not just a matter of the customer being unable to solve the problem, they're simply unwilling to do it themselves so they throw money at someone else. That's just part of being an informed consumer. A great chef isn't gonna cook all of his own meals. Sometimes he just doesn't feel like doing all of that extra work, he just wants a good meal. But the fact that he has reduced himself to being a customer doesn't mean that he has suddenly stopped knowing what's right and wrong. He might not have cooked the meal himself, but if he goes to a restaurant and orders something that is all kinds of nasty, then hell yes he' right when he says that the food sucks ass. I'm not saying that customers are ALWAYS wrong. Many customers absolutely DO learn their $hit before giving money to someone else in order to solve a problem. The thing is...while customers are wrong A LOT, employees are also wrong A LOT. And part of being a smart customer is being smart enough to learn when the person solving the task for you isn't competent enough to get it done. Whichever side of the fence we're talking about, we're still talking about PEOPLE. And yes...people often f*** up. Sometimes the person who is wrong is a customer, and sometimes the person who is wrong is the person serving the customer. It just depends on the situation.

[QUOTE="gamerguru100"][QUOTE="EagleEyedOne"] I live in Los Angeles, 1:53AM. Guess it is Saturday, still feels like Friday though.EagleEyedOne
Yesterday, I didn't realize it was Friday the 13th until 6:30 PM. O_O I don't really buy into the bad luck superstition. You're far more likely to die on one of the other 364 days of the year. :P

I didn't even know yesterday was Friday the 13th.

LOL! And I thought I zoned out yesterday. :P

Who takes the phrase "the customer is always right" literally?

Are you guys serious?

It just means "we (the company or whatever) need your money therefore we'll make you feel you are right about your complaint/request/whatever, and/or wont tell you you're an idiot if you are acting like an idiot". Thats what it means basically.

Customers.

I hope not most of them.

But I'd assume they dont, and just interpret it as "I have the right to act like an idiot" which is in line with what I said. :P

A lot of people take it to mean "if I tell them I ant this for 50% off, they're going to do it, since I'm the customer."

The employee was almost robotic...

raging_user

He did a great job......I worked at QVC customer service and this stuff actually does happen sometime. He remained calm like he was supposed to, but we are told to calm down the customer, in this case that would only make matters worse.

[QUOTE="MrGeezer"][QUOTE="EagleEyedOne"] Are you saying the customer isn't always right?

Yup this was more or less my response during my job interview for the IT call center I worked at when they asked if the customer is always right. Obviously they are getting something wrong with their hardware otherwise we wouldn't have jobs.

I've never had a customer mad at me specifically, but I have had to deal with them in the past and it isn't fun, especially when your company just ruined their kids birthday by giving them the wrong flavor of cake :P

One time a lady ordered a product and went outside to eat it, then came back in 10 minutes later explaining how she found a bug in bottom.  She then went online and wrote a negative review of the company.  I guess it never occured to her that the bug she had found was actually one of the HUNDREDS flying around outside where she was eating and had flown in after she received the product.  But of course, it was the companies fault and she is never coming back again.

Yeah, customers just don't think things all the way through.

Only people who have a limited mind do this.  I always put myself in another persons shoes, and it really helps.
