He sounds like a serial killer. Not sure if I would accidentally laugh or hang up in a panic first.

Spend money, be entitled to service.

mhmm

which is why every person possible in society should take as many humanly possible precautions to avoid the possibily of facing these pieces of sh!t

automated customer service phone lines and self-checkout registers are a step in the right direction

Are you saying the customer isn't always right?

Yes, he is. And the customer isn't always right.

Customers tend to be, almost without exception, annoying, entitled, generally annoying cvnts.

Entitled to service, not entitled to treat people like shit.

To be fair, customer service is pretty bad universally.

Customers aren't always right, but they always deserve to be treated with a modicum of respect, which seems impossible for a lot of the incredibly immature people you've got working in stores these days.

Sometimes customers make that impossible for us to do. The exact way the old saying is actually worded is "The customer should always be led to believe they are right, within reason". Even customers have a line in the sand they cannot cross without harsh punishment. Anyone who's ever threatened me that way at the store has quickly found out they've gone too far.

Ha, I remember one time when a really old lady called talking about wanting an extra discount for cotton balls (they were, like, 75 cents a bag because store special) and, while she was a pleasant person and did not flip her jimmies at any point during the call, she told me she had hearing aid problems so I had to raise my voice for her to hear. Made me look like a silly billy but she came into the store later and told my supervisor that I was a nice boy.

I actually pity this guy and empathize with him. Of course he's going about it completely the wrong way by screaming in stuff but he's been on the phone for 4 hours. That's ****ing ridiculous anyway you look at it. And customer service does nothing to even help him but run him through the same loop.
