Well, if it makes you feel any better, I didn't think the game was that great. It wasn't as good as the previous ones on the PC, and I even liked Unreal Championship on the XBox better...
Wow, Luckily my parents never cared what I played or watched.

same here but they always did give me a lecture about maturity and stuff like that
I just got back from GAME with my mam and I picked up Unreal Tournament for the 360 but my dad took one look at the 18's rating on it and said he's returning it tommorow and i'm not allowed to open it at all. He said it induces way too much stress but I told him i've been playing these kind of games for a pretty long time and that it really isn't that bad. The worst thing is that he's extremely unwilling to listen to my side of the arguement since he's a psychiatrist and has "seen this type of thing before". Any suggestions on what I should say to him. BTW, I'm 14 and mature for my age, I never curse or shout or do anything like that on LIVE or in real life.Chirag6
He doesn't want you to waist your time.
Well, I could go on in an angry clearly biased rant against anyone in a field with anything to do with any form of psychology and many other fields, or I could just say what I would usually say:
Sucks to be you, dude. Sounds like there's nothing you can do.
It's all good now. I had a talk with him and showed him some gameplay videos and he agreed to let me play it. TOTALLY ROCKIN! Thanks for the help everyone (well most of you lol)Chirag6
Kewl.. cause I was gunna call you a liar and point out the Unreal pic that is on your game tag sign. :P
Yea, that kinda sucks, id say try reasoning with him, but since you said he didn't really listen to you in the first case its probably a lost cause...
You could just go against his will and play it anyway, and then claim it couldnt be taken back? I dunno...
If it is any constellation, i didn't find the game that great anyway, kind of dissapointing infact
Respect your parents wishes first of all. I had to deal with this same problem for quite a while. Just take it back and get another game you might want with a lower rating.honkyjoe
Good advice. It sounds like you have parents that actually care about you. That's a good thing. Trust them. They're trying to do what's best for you.
