DaddyoFive (the terrible channel that condones child abuse) loses custody of Two

The youtube channel DaddyoFive that has come under extreme scrutiny for exploiting physical/verbal/mental abuse of children has now lost two of it's stars. Cody and Emma (stars as in they were the main focus of bullying for views instigated by the adults). Both Cody and Emma are now in the custody of their biological mother, Rose Hall, who obtained custody as Mike and Heather, creators of DaddyoFive, were on a talk show. Both children are undergoing proper therapy.

A full interview with their biological mother can be seen here. She isn't the best in front of a camera, but she's sincere, which can be easily seen when she talks about her children, and puts her far ahead of the soulless psychopaths she took her children from.

Honestly, I'd never heard of this YT channel up to a couple of days ago when I found a post on "imgur.com" where this channel was being accused of child abuse. I decided then to go to YT and check up on some of their videos (just to make sure whether it was staged or not), and after watching just a couple of them I was really disgusted with the way those kids were being treated, it wasn't funny at all. What kind of individual can do that to a child?

The worst one was the 40 minute video in which Emma (age 8) was picked on by her 4 male family members, including her father, until she was in a corner, in a fetal position, as her father filmed and humiliated her. These people are lower than dirt.

I would even go so far as to say these despicable people have helped create a new form of child abuse, where the well being of children are diminished for views on social media.

Good! The way he treated his son was awful! I don't care if it's a prank, you picked on Cody the most and emotionally abused him! You pushed him to the book shelves and made him bleed!

The owners of that channel are a new form of terrible. To so openly exploit children in such a bad manner, I don't know if they're evil or dumb.

Yeah, I noticed how their older children gets better treatment than Cody. The Dad likes his step-children more than his own Son.

@FireEmblem_Man: There are so many levels of wrong with these people. I understand sibling rivalry, I really do. But when adults instigate, exploit and record their children for money, I, I just cant even find the words.

Nice to have good news once in a while. You can prank your kids but it should end with them laughing and happy not crying and scared.

I want criminal charges.

A terrible experience for these kids, for sure. Can only hope these adults see their mistakes and make the necessary corrections.

Youtube's now at a point where sitting watching a video, doing nothing, can earn you a living.

See? This is exactly what kinda crap YouTube encourages! I can only imagine how many other YouTubers are guilty of similar crimes just for "shock" laughs.

Youtube have been screwing with their content creators for a long time already. Especially with the Advertiser strike, keeping them in the dark without answering questions. Then I remember that Google/Alphabet is the parent company and wants to use bots to moderate all content.

Never heard of that channel but wow, does it ever sound absolutely disgusting. Garbage like that shouldn't be allowed to even be on YouTube.

The parents are messed up. At first I thought that the channel was just some fun family comedy youtube channel but instead the parents are swearing and scaring those kids to death which was not funny at all. And the fact that in one video the creep dad threw one of his sons on the floor and he hit his head hard is when I felt that the parents should lose their kids. This was child abuse and not a fun prank.

I wonder if they "get it" by now? Or if behind closed doors they are still saying "Those goddamn haters"

Even in their last apology video they spent more time apologizing to "the fans", almost zero time spent on recognizing what they did wrong and how their acts are destroying these children and then of course it was not until the last minute or so when they actually said they love their children. They just never seemed to understand what they had done wrong and what they had done to their children because in their head itheyve convinced themselves its what the children wanted. It was a typical abuser and abusee situation that had been reinforced over and over and over by themselves, their children and then the approval by society; their "fans": which really seemed to just be a bunch of adolescent males who are just starting to deal with a massive testosterone boost, are probably abused themselves and (buzz word) are bullies.

I found one of their biggest fans, in fact the kid put together an official fan page/fan group, is a kid named CodyOfFive. Now, i suspect he used this name to leech off their subscribers who would think its Cody. But this poor kid, even to this day does not see anything wrong with what was going on. He even did this interview where... oh man it was just sad... we all knew this kid in school and sadly he had been rewarded for reinforcing this behavior through monetized youtube videos and Mike, who loved the kid for doing what he was doing and gave him his full support.

I think we all hope for the best with Cody and Emma who are now with their natural mother, this said though, why did Mike have full custody of them? This raises red flags for me as well.... we live in a country that does everything it can to keep children with their mothers over fathers. Courts are very biased in this regard and for a mother to lose full time custody of a child, suggests that something really bad had happened while previously in her custody, she has a serious criminal record, serious mental disorder, etc. I know it was said that she was bipolar but there has to be a string of incidents or one or two major incidents for her to lose custody.

All that said these kids are in for a bad time in their lives. Theyre all going to have massive relationship issues, probably all have drug abuse problems. Cody and Emma with the way they were treated is a text book case for "how to create a heroin user". Its just sooooo bad with this fucked up situation and i think if i had five minutes along with Mike, id probably end up beating him to death.

Apparently earlier on in their lives there was custody issues between his ex and him. so it sounded like emma and Cody had no stability and children tend to put this blame on themselves already. So one of Mikes "pranks" that made me tear up and i almost broke out crying, was when he decided to convince Cody that he was being adopted because he was no good, useless to the family (he was literally telling the kid that it was between him and Cody, one had to go, and he had value to the family while Cody did not) and they didnt want him anymore. And this "prank" went on for like half an hour and it broke Cody, you could see on his face that he was mentally destroyed. And i think that is when i decided that i was willing to take a hatchet to Mikes face if i ever met him.

Let's also not forget that Maryland is a bit at fault here. Supposedly, they were already investigated by Child Protective Services, which viewed most of what they were doing as corporal punishment, which they allow. I think it took a media storm to get them to reevaluate this case to finally side with Cody and Emma's biological mother. I'm not sure what if any charges are going to be brought down on the parents, but yeah, it sounds like Maryland's a bit backwards right now.

@kod: It is a very curious matter as to how the mother originally lost the kids in the first place, and frankly I won't take the word of any random youtuber comment to heart so I have no idea. However all I can say is that now the potential for restoration ie. non-sociopathic tendencies, among at least these two children has been greatly increased. Without knowing the past of Ms. Hall, she's not in this alone, and that gives me hope. There is much attention, professional and amateur, on both her and her kids. She is in above her head, as would be any of us in her situation if we're completely honest with ourselves. Still this makes her human, and better than the degenerates she reacquired her children from.

Yah, some of the youtubers who did some very good research and informative videos looked into the topic have said she's been diagnosed with bipolar and manic depressive. Which if you see her and hear her you do kind of sense this. So if this is true added to the fact that she did not have custody of her children, id be inclined to believe she has had some self harm incidents, maybe a suicide attempt or two in her past or a mix of this and over doing it on her medication.

Its all presumption on my end, something i probably should not even be doing, but one's red flags should definitely be up when discussing her as well. Why was it so easy for this Mike asshole to get Cody and than apparently easier to get Emma? Judges generally wont do this without something serious happening and often a series or string of "things" happening.

@kod: I was totally against her when I first saw the interview, the first couple of minutes. No faith in her whatsoever. But then she started talking about Cody and Emma, and you can see such a difference. My thing is of course she's not perfect, but shes getting a whole lot of help, and she's not the buttfaces we both want to punch into oblivion.

Oh yah, you can tell she loves them and is genuinely concerned for them, which amazingly is more than we can say about Mike. But i think with her they are still in a concerning situation though, it might be a different type of concern, but theres something clearly wrong with the situation.

The scumbag parents in this case basically found a way to profit from child abuse. I thought the news stories were exaggerating. Then I watched some of the videos. These people have no business having custody of children. They act like bullying older siblings rather than parents.

What confuses me is their ~800k subscribers. Are they sick bastards who enjoy watching children get psychologically and physically abused or are they people who subscribed because they were concerned about the kids?
