You don't think a band tours just because they love it? They don't get together and practice and write songs because it gets them money? What do you think any local band does? You think any of them are actual going anywhere? Maybe the music you listen to is all about money, and selling millions of records or what not, but even a more mainstream band like Tool isn't in it "for the money." Money may be an intriguing aspect when selling records, but many bands make music because they like to make music and perform.

Kanye "ripped off" Daft Punk as much as Daft Punk "ripped off" Edwin Birdsong.

You can't hate on Kanye for using a sample when Daft Punk did the exact same thing. Seems a bit unfair.

Exactly. I'm sure he had to ask permission before he used their music as well, and Daft Punk (lookalikes?) was in Kanye's video.

I bet you Kanye just wrote that song Stronger so he would have an excuse to sample Harder Better Faster Stronger for his song since he couldn't make up his own stuff well enough :P

Daft Punk appeared on stage with Kanye during his most recent performance of Stronger. They -let- him sample them.Gigglepuffy
