I've tried... I've really tried... but man is he terrible...all he talks about is pointless, senseless garbage.... I've yet to even crack a smile from any of his youtube vids.. the desire was there, but it just didn't work out.
This Forum had a lot of anti-Carlos Mencia people on it because Carlos Mencia stole some jokes but I don't see the same backlash with Dane Cook and his joke stealing habits.
Very overrated comedian there are tons and tons of lesser known comedies out there that blow him out of the water in terms of standup, guys like Heywood Banks, Tim Wilson, Tim Bedore, Drew Hastings etc.
He's not bad. I find for his stand-up, that he needs to act out what he's saying in order to get a laugh. I heard a cd of his, and it was funny, but it didn't have the same effect as if I was watching him.

Indeed. Dude is just not funny. I can see how and why he's trying to be funny, he's just not. Maybe it is poor delivery, I could see some of it possibly being funny if delivered by a comedian who knew how to do the job, or maybe he'd be better off if he stopped doing solo shows and opened up for The Wiggles or something.

Indeed. Dude is just not funny. I can see how and why he's trying to be funny, he's just not. The thing with Dane Cook is that when he started to get popular, you would hear people say "Wow have you heard this guy Dane Cook hes the funniest guy ever!!" that type of thing. Now I understand that some people just won't like him and thats perfectly fine, but some people when they hear a comment like that they are determined to hate on him even if theyve never heard him. They then proceed to listen to some of the material with this negative mindset and thats why you get some of these kind of haters. Me personally, I think his stand up is good but I think he should stick to that and stay away from acting.
