I saw the new episode of DBZ Kai and it was amazing. The music, everything. It comes on nicktunes and I was in awe at what they did with it. The ending for Freiza's at the end of the show = EPIC MUSIC. One of the best episodes I have ever seen.

watch the japanese version. its probably not censor.
and when does nick show's anime. seems odd they would do.
It's a good show. The only complaint I have is the censorship, like when Vegeta be-headed Guldo of the Ginyu Force. It looked kinda lame.
As somebody who is a major fan of the series and has been for years I thought the fillers were good (Excluding GT I hated that crap). I'll probably eventually sit down and watch DBZ Kai one day but from the previews (Gohans voice for starters) just made me wtf.
I want to watch it, but I don't have nicktoons and the Blu-Ray is $21 dollars for the first 13 episodes, $46 for the next 13:?...

it will go down in price.
Really? Is it THAT good? I thought it was only a shortened DBZ Are there any major differences TC??Darthkaiser
Yes it is. I think that all of the blasts, music, sounds have been remastered. Some of the scenes/characters have been re sketched for parts of the series as well. They also made it for HD as well. Oh yeah, and they redid the dialogue. And Freiza's voice/dialogue is some of the best you'll ever find for villians in cartoons.
[QUOTE="KrunkMastaX"]Isnt it just a re-run of the DBZ shown on Toonami years back?gaming25Read the post right before yours. So its a remake?
Isnt it just a re-run of the DBZ shown on Toonami years back?KrunkMastaXIt's DBZ without all the filler episodes and a rack of stuff cut out. Also the animations been remastered and it's been touched up to a degree. I like the old one better though. Not the same without Bruce Falcouner's music.
DBZ Kai let me down REALLY bad. Now I understand that they want to take out fillers, but the English voice actors they have is even WORSE than what they had on Toonami. Not to mention, the cuts are even worse than what CN had.nintendoboy16Most of the main cast are the same (except for Freiza and many characters done by Chris Sabat outside of Vegeta and Piccolo). Also, this time Freiza sounds more brutal/diabolical. And since the recurring vioce actors have done DBZ before, they do a better job too.
I haven't watched any full episodes but since I grew up with DBZ, I just prefer the original voice actors.fabz_95well just to clarify, almost all the voice actors are the same. they just re-did some of them. Gohan's voice is the only noticeably different voice.

I guess the Kai voices just aren't how I remembered them in DBZ.
