I prefer Marvel. The characters seem more human and flawed. Plus, Silver Surfer + Hulk + Spiderman + Captain America = Awesome Childhood. And reading about Cap getting shot was the ONLY time I ever teared up reading anything. Save for Batman, who has a host of issues.
By DC, are we including Vertigo? If yes, all DC every day. If we're not including Vertigo (which I assume we're not)...... Generally I'll go with Marvel, but as far as comics right this second go, DC. Once April rolls around, that could change. Blackest Night, Green Lantern, and Batman-related comics have been tremendous as of late, Justice Society has been pretty good, Wonder Woman has been meh (surprise) and Superman, Justice League, and Titans have all been terrible. Secret Six is still great though. Over at Marvel, Siege has been pretty weak and the Avengers books and Captain America have been a little stale lately. Hulk has been awful for a while now. Daredevil needs to reestablish itself a bit. Uncanny X-Men has been kinda meh seemingly forever. Invincible Iron Man, Thor, and Fantastic Four have been really good.
