I'm not sure. Biology seems extremely diverse. I want a degree where I preferably don't have to go to grad school to get a masters, makes a lot of money, work isn't boring or extremely stressful, and where a lot of jobs are available.

It might or might not be. My dad has had his Bachelor's(he was a Bio major)for almost 35 years, and has NEVER been able to find a job inthat field. He became an industrial Chemist. Go figure. :S

Probably not the best call. Most major universities have 2 to 3 times as many Bio majors as Chem or Physics majors, which means that it will be far more difficult to find a job in your specific field if you go with biology.

If biology seems to be something you really enjoy and find interesting, go ahead with it, but make sure to do everything you can to distinguish yourself from others in your class, connect with professors, and network in other useful ways.

Wow, you sure don't ask for much... ¬_¬'

The way I see it, any decree is worth it as long as you like what you're doing, but if all you want is money without even getting a masters I suggest you look elsewhere... Oh, and by the way, money doesn't come that easy no matter what you do.

Biotech maybe. I'm majoring in MCB, so it's a little more specialized, but that's generally what I hear people do with it (if you're not planning on becoming a doctor).

If you decide on pursing any degree in science, you MUST do AT LEAST your masters. Trust me I have my degree in Biochemistry and Medical Sciences and its pretty much just a piece of paper in the real world. I'm doing my Masters in Mammalian Marine Biology and will have no problem finding a job.

depends on the job you're looking for. Undergrad degrees in the hard sciences don't usually get you much. you need a masters or phd.

Well I don't think there exist jobs, period, whether requiring grad school or not, that are never for one second either boring or stressful.

Yea but specialisation will be needed (if you want a job in certain field) and you will most likely need to go on to a master's /PHD.

It depends. With a BSc in Biology, you can go on to get a Masters in tons of different fields, so if you plan on getting an advanced degree, Biology wouldn't be a bad choice.

You were the guy who was trying to decide between all those business degrees, like management, finance, information systems, etc

Now you are talking about biology.

I think you should take a hard look at yourself and decide what it is you really love.

You should look into bionantechnology. Anything that has to do with nanotech is going to boom next decade and beyond.
