I'd have to put SWAT a hair below Delta and SEAL. Nothing against SWAT guys, it's just that since they're police their focus is on preventing loss of life. Delta and SEALs job is causing loss of life.

Watchingpeople with no military experienceargue over which SF unit is the best is like watching little kids argue over whose dad would win in a fight.

yes, i suppose the only way for one to really, truly, determine which side is better is to A.) join the Navy SEALs, B.) become a Delta operator, and C.) become a SWAT officer.
After a decade or two of that, I imagine a fair and objective argument could be made.
God forbid we argue on the basis of what we have read, viewed, and heard about from objective sourcesconcerning these three elite units. That would certainly not lead to any fair conclusions. There is simply no way to make an argument until you have done the three-step processabove:roll:
oh, and for the record, my dad can kick your dad's butt :P
If they were magically teleported into a building together and told to fight to the death then SEALs.
Which one is the more useful (best) would be Green Berets (what Delta is part of). They are the thinking soldiers sent behind enemy lines to cause all kinds of havoc. They are like Solid Snake. They're great in combat, but try to avoid it. They try to destroy the enemy indirectly.
Look how affective they where in Afghanistan. They (with air support) did in months what the USSR army could not due in years.
That and it is freaking awesome how they are trained to use anything as a weapon.

They didn't design Special Warfare forces so they could make the best soldier, sailor, or marine. A Special Warfare program is initiated for a specific task.
You can't compare Delta to the SEALs or MARSOC and you damn sure can't compare them to SWAT. SWAT and DOG are law enforcement detachments of local law enforcement and Coast Guard stations. Delta has a superb, nigh unmatchable Logistical command. SEALs by and far have the superior training for combat. Rangers are a light infantry force. They all have a COMPLETELY different purpose, no SF unit is the same, so there's really no way to compare them.
