I like laptops because my room is small, but desktops are much better in terms of performance and price.

I like to think that laptops are great, but they are just too good to be true. The laptop I got for college failed epically. In fact it literally screwed up the very first day of college, and it... just don't even get me started on that.

I just wish I still had the laptop that I was supposed to have. I wasted all of my graduation money. Every single bit of it.

So I have to go for desktops, at least they last longer than three months.

I use both, and I think that each have a certain usefulness. My laptop suits me great for something with which I can commute, but I would much prefer to use my desktop at home.

Desktop, hands down. Laptops are handy, but they are oh so limited in functionality.

I went with both because its entirely dependant on what you want to do with it. Desktops are easier to upgrade and generally have better performance for games, etc. Laptops however are great, I have a laptop and use it all the time because its perfect for what I use it for (mostly surfing)

I only have a laptop, although I would like a really good desktop for gaming, if I only had the money and the space for it.

Using a laptop as a surfboard will probably void your warranty.

Desktop is better for games and stuff but if given the choice i would take a good laptop over a good desktop for the reason of portability

This. With desktops you have the option to go to various companies for the interior parts. For laptops, you do not. I've been through THREE dell laptops this year. All of them developed some sort of hardware problem. My desktop of six years is still kicking, however.

Desktops simply because they are far more upgradable than laptops tend to be. Laptops are really convenient though.

I use both, but primarily a laptop for casual use. But I really want a new desktop instead of a new laptop when the time comes. Much better IMO.

I prefer laptop because I don't have a desktop xD

I used to have a desktop but it got a virus, I liked it more, it can actually run games whereas laptops usually can't very well. But I'm not smart enough to build my own soo... screwed and tattooed I suppose

Depends what you need. If you move around a lot yet want power, you best get a desktop replacement laptop.

Desktop if i'm able to make the choice, laptops can be good too but really need to be combined with a portable hard drive or preferably a wireless NAS connection to meet their full pottential.

I like the power, desktop. Laptops ain't bad but an 800eur desktop is so much more than an 800eur laptop. If you need a powerful laptop you need to pay so much more, if u'r just gonna use it for web browsing, use a tablet pc or netbook with Chrome OS.

I find desktops much easier to use. The screens are usually brighter/better and the keyboard position is more comfortable. Laptops are fine just not as a main computer for me. Having both would be the ideal situation.

I use my laptop more than anything these days. I love it and think that it's very convenient. It's really nice having one. However... There's nothing like a good desktop. It just feels like home.

Desktop is a more practical choice for computing.

It disperses heat more efficiently, so you don't have to worry about your GPU pushing 90 degrees while gaming.:P:lol:

Desktop. I don't need a laptop for anything since i never need to be online away from home. Of course, we HAVE a laptop but only because my wife wanted her old one from college replaced after it died (even she doesn't use it).
