Why do people keep asking for girl advice here?

I think he's on the right track.

Do something to set yourself aside from all the generic guys going after her.

Whether it be flowers, soup, or a simple card explaining what she means to you and how you want her to be happy.

My parents met in high school and twenty-five years later... still married. My girlfriend's aunt and uncle met in high school... married with two kids.

Met my girlfriend in high school and we're living with each other and going to the same college, and vaguely talking about marriage upon graduation. Heck, our roommates/best friends are a couple and they've been together since middle school...

I find myself dragging my feet in these advice threads. I'm growing bored of making 5 paragraph posts. I'll just skip to the good part.

1) Be yourself and don't force anything.

2) Show you're interested but not so much that you like her on the level of the guys before you.

3) If #2 fails, drop subtle hints or ask something subtle like "what kind of girl do u see me being with?"

4) Do not skip #1 and #2 like I know you might.

5) If she answers #3 with a answer of being someone like herself then you should try discussing a what-if you and her.

6) If she answers #3 with a answer that doesn't seem to reflect herself or any interest in you then chances are she doesn't see herself with you and you should give up on trying to be with her.

This girl sounds like trouble considering what you've told us. She's emotionally unstable, takes meds, just had a break-up, and has other guys chasing her. I was in a very similar situation and felt just like you. It was horrible in the end. Stay away.

Anyways if shes going through a rough time and having to deal with stuff like depression and all that, maybe a relationship isn't the best thing for her at the moment, you know what I mean? to be perfectly honest when anyone is depressed it becomes alot harder for that person to actually contribute as much to a relationship because alot of the time maybe she'll be distant, or grumpy or you guys just wont be able to really build up much affection with someone whose going through depression. Its possible but its alot more difficult because her main focus most likely wont be on you but on whatever is going on with her or bothering her. She wont really be able to devote that much of herself to you and that might make you feel like she doesn't care,also it can also be a really draining and just kinda somber to be around someone who is deperessed alot because of all that negative energy they give off. If and only if you're really serious about genuinely wanting to be a part of her life, I think you should tell her how you feel and say that you want to be a part of her life, and that you guys will face what she's going through together, also that you'll be the one for her to come to when she needs to talk and hold her when she cries. Basically just be honest with her, and let her know that you want her in your life and that you'll be there for her during what shes going through no matter what

I'm guessing "wrestled" has a different meaning since I've never really heard of guys and girls actually wrestling (not the dirty kind) unless you just let her kick your a** for fun then that's different. But anyways if you think that she will pick you then stop sitting back, one of the biggest mistakes guys make is sitting back and waiting for the girl to come up to you (which happens sometimes but it can take awhile) just go up to her more be more "there".
