msn live has never worked on my comp so i had msn 7.5 but today i went to use msn and before i signed in it says "in order to continue you must download the newest version of msn" like wtf?
and then i got it, and now i can't sign in!! i keep getting error code 80048820, and so i just deleted msn. now im going to download it again....but.......:oops: i forgot how....usually my bro does it for me, but he's in university.....anyone know where i can download for free?
MSN is not a very hard program to run. Even a 64 RAM computer could run it. I think it is time for you to get a new one. There is always google and look up MSN forum support. When one person has a problem there is always a bunch of others with the same one. Look around
The bloat in newer versions of MSN Messenger is unreal, however there are programs out there that allow you to strip off the ads, the search bar, all the extra buttons, all the junk that shows up in convo windows, etc. Also, there are a lot of MSN alternatives out there.

My computer is only like 2 years old. its fast and i barly have any programs on it. but for some reason msn live just freezes everytime i sign in.

MSN 7.0 was amazing :) It was upgraded very quickly though, because the nudge feature was just introduced and you could send them repeatedly. My friend still has it, and can repeatedly nudge people that have higher versions! It rocks hard.
