Yes a man named Jesus did exist, thats a fact. Now was he legitimately the son of god, no one knows except for him and god. Some people believe that Jesus was gods son, and others believe that he was God himself in mortal form. And obviously some people believe that he was just a guy. Which one is true? No one knows. But thats why its called faith, Its up to you to decide weather you believe or not. I for one believe he was the son of god, and did die for our sins, but I dont have any proof to this, so its just hearsay.
With any question like this just ask yourself, could it be proved today in a court of law. Can we prove he existed and can we prove he did not? Nope and Nope.

jesus the man? probably. jesus the son of god who is also god but not the same as that god but is the same as god which is explained as a "mystery" so that you dont really think about it... unlikely..

I'm disregarding the fact that you expect the Bible to be scientifically accurate considering how much was known about science at the time and address the fact that historical, non Biblical, evidence exists.

Historical sources, only a few hundred years ago historical sources said the world was flat and sea beasts roamed the waters, imagine how messed up people were hundreds of years before that.
Yes. Historians have proved it. The only thing they can't prove is whether or not he is the son of God. No one can prove that for a fact, you just have to have faith that he is.
