@LJS9502_basic: i am saying that Zemo is not in control of Bucky while he is escaping. Zemo's main goal is the Avenger's destruction. Perhaps he does seek to have Barnes escape, but it is evident that his purpose in visiting Barnes is to learn the outcome of his mission that results in Tony Stark's family being murdered. Also, it is evident that he does not have control over Barnes until the mind control sequence is complete.

What I initially said was Zemo broke Bucky out.....that WAS his point. From there I don't know what you are arguing. That was Zemo's plan.....silly though it was.....and certainly not one that had any certainty of the outcome ending as Zemo wanted......as poorly written as the story was.....that WAS a plot point. I'm not sure what you are arguing now. Of course the mind control sequence has to be completed. No one is arguing otherwise. Anyway he had the video to show. What he wanted from Bucky was some information. He also would have known by shutting down the power Bucky would escape.

@LJS9502_basic: Did the villain know about the info from the tape before getting to the base though?

Because the evidence came from the base, and he spent the movie looking for the base.

And even if he did, would that info even have been enough for him to achieve his goals without all the other stuff.

Yeah. He wanted that effect to occur. Like I said.....story has plot holes all over it. Action was good....if a been there done that at this point in the movie series.....and RDJ is always entertaining and Evans did fine as CA. But the actual story was weak.

You know what actually bugs me? *Spoilers* The whole movie, everyone was like "Cap, we need to keep Bucky in check, he's dangerous". Cap is like "no he's my friend". Then at the end, Bucky freezes himself willingly. That part made no sense to me.

You don't see the difference between being forced into prison for crimes that you commited thanks to Hydra brain wash and making the decision yourself to put yourself out of action? I guess you missed the whole point of the movie about the importance of choice.

Oh my god. Somehow, a yes or no thread turns into this.....Hai guys, I thoroughly enjoyed the movie and appreciate the effort the Russo Brothers put into this product, albeit not a perfect one. Oh wait, maybe more of: Hey, I'm going to be a joyless prick and nitpick everything about the movie.

I don't know....not allowing people to discuss something or complaining about different POV makes one a joyless prick dude....not engaging in ideas exchange.

@Nuck81:

Right because he knew that would be the way to go to achieve his desires without actually knowing that. Damn you make less sense than the movie did.

I was pleasantly surprised how much I actually liked this Spiderman. Like, it made me realise I didn't like the others as much as I thought and only having those choices then I just appreciated Toby more than I do now.

Enjoyed it sooo much, SPOILERS BEST SPIDY EVER :P

Best ever ? Really ? I enjoyed the movie, although Spiderman was good in action, fighting, they made him look clumsy. I guess he had to start somewhere. In the other movies Spiderman has always been so full of himself, so it was cool to see another side of him. The movie was worth watching, i did enjoy it.

I've enjoyed it too, it wa sa solid move from Marvel.

Not to action-packed so it becomes childish, not too deep so it becomes annoying.

@LJS9502_basic: You are entitled to think whatever you would like about the film, but evidence would help.

---------------------------------------------------------------

I think that another interesting aspect of Captain America: Civil War is that the same Thunderbolt Ross from the Incredible Hulk film is Secretary of State in this film. This implies that Bruce Banner will not be joining Tony Stark and his side of this conflict in later films.

I thought it was better than Superman vs Barman. Really impressed how they were able to have a super hero movie with so many central characters but manages to not fall into the trapping of Batman Forever. I guess it helped that many of the characters were either present in other movies or had their own. Spiderman was particularly done well.

I thought I recognized him as a villian in another super hero movie, just couldn't quite place him. I thought he was Jeff Bridges from the first IronMan movie at first.
