-sigh- For me this was a very sad scene. It made me cry since I had a german shepard named Sam as well that passed away recently.....

I've never been a dog person, so it didn't affect me.

that was the only part of the film taht got an emotional response from me... the film was pretty garbage in the end... a good idea executed badly... cgi zombies - FAIL!

Nah I was laughing at that part man, the dog didn't listen and now Will Smith was left a lone in his won mangled attempt at acting.

Shame too, since the book is fantastic. There is a better version of I am legend from the 60s called The Last Man On Earth, its a bit dated but it has Vincent Price:D

That film was terrible. I'm sure if I watched it again I would cry like a baby, seeing how my German Shepherd died last November..sammyjenkis898

I hated that part. It was incredibly sad. It actually made me angry that the pup had to die...but I get like the with animals dying in movies, that's just me.

I thought it was a pretty good movie. I was surprised that I enjoyed it. Didn't go in having high hopes. But yeah, I found it to be a bit sad as well. nocoolnamejim

You know what I don't get? Millions of humans can die in a movie and I wouldn't care, however, if an animal dies, then I get sad.

I knew the dog would die. The dogs always do. As soon as I saw the dog in the first trailer I'm like, "that **** (female dog) is gonna die"

how did the dog not listen. the dog saved Will's life, just like any other good loyal dog would do to its owner.

Haven't seen it. I absolutely HATE dogs though.

the only part I felt bad was when his dog died, other then that no, but still a great movie

It didn't make me sad. The alternate ending, in which he doesn't die was more emotional for me.

I hated I Am Legend... I chocked up over the fact that I sat through the whole thing.

I didn't choke up but, it was indeed a very sad scene. :(

Sure it was sad I guess, but never really owning a pet, I wasn't choked up or anything
