loved it best one yet .

yes it actually was thebest one for me because the acting was good as was the action but most importantly they slowed the scenes down. They let scenes have enough time to make an impact on the viewer and let them really feel what was going on not only in the plot, but in the characters heads. Not all the scenes did this but a bunch of them did unlike most of the other films.
The movie could have been so much better. There was too much focus on romance. The focus should have been more on Tom Riddle rather that the dumb relationship between Ron and Lavender and Hermione's jealousy. It was way too overblown, they should have cut most of that. However, I did like Harry and Ginny's relationship in the movie.
[QUOTE="chessmaster1989"]The book sucked... didn't bother seeing the movie...D-RSDude why do you hate Harry potter this much ? :P
I didn't hate all of the Harry Potter books... I enjoyed 1 and 3 and thought 4 was okay... I thought 2 was bad, 5 was bad, and 6 and 7 were terrible. As I've said before, I only finished them because they're very quick reads and I'm a completionist...

why did you think there were terrible ?I loved it.
I wont say its the best, though, because its style is different from the other ones.
However I loved the darkness to it, and the shift to plot and stuff versus action.

why did you think there were terrible ?Boring plots and characters, terrible writing... seriously, the only character I found interesting after book 4 was Severus Snape... half the reason I read 7 was because I wanted to see what happened with him...

Terrible writing ? ! come on it is not the best writing , and i know from some other topics that you are a huge fan Of LOTR , don't compare Hp to Lotr , you can't compare anything to Lotr , as for the Plots , after book 4 they got better , more mature and much darker , it is still your opinion in the end .[QUOTE="chessmaster1989"][QUOTE="D-RS"] why did you think there were terrible ?D-RS

Given half the fifth book was Harry whining, I really don't see how anyone could enjoy it... but that's just me...
And, indeed, you can't compare HP to LotR, simply because LotR is better in every respect. :)
By the way, LotR isn't even my favorite book...

I read and really liked the series, but there's no denying that Rowling has some issues with the mechanics.

in Opinion i meant the opinion about The series being Overall Terrible , and i don't remember Jk rowling using The deus ex machina more than twice (Phoenix in CHamber of secrets at the end , and ROn saving harry from the frozen pool in book 7).The books were much the same. Except she made them longer. But her writing was the same throughout the series. 5th was the poorest one , the book was long , A lot of subplots but it had a great ending , overall it was good but far from the best .The books were much the same. Except she made them longer. I liked the character of Sirius Black from the third book... but, yes, Severus Snape was the most interesting character definitely.
Her writing was the same, but I still enjoyed 1 and 3 far more than any others...

So you basically liked it up to the point where it got dark. From the first book I could tell that Harry would be the Hero of the wizarding world and I knew he would have to go down a hard path eventually. The books were much the same. I think Dumbledore was the most interesting character, with his entire backstory in the seventh book and his mysterious way of knowing everything that's going on throughout the series. Though Snape was also very good; you kept guessing his motives until the very end.

Harry had no choice but to be the hero. Snape in my opinio sacrificed the most and is the hero of the series. Loved the books. Extremely entertaining even if JK is a bad writer.
Yes I consider Snape the hero of the series much to her consternation if she knew. Harry kind of lucked into things. To me a hero is pro active. And Dumbledore is the character I consider the most evil....even over Voldemort.Harry had no choice but to be the hero. Snape in my opinio sacrificed the most and is the hero of the series. I agree to an extent. Dumbledore was playing the pupetmaster but did help Harry to the end.
it was pretty good. i saw it 5 times so i'm kinda tired of it now. it wasn't the best harry potter movie and it was kinda dissapointing compared to the book, but still fun to watch.

I don't know if I would go so far as to call him evil. Perhaps he did take advantage of Snape, but he did what he did "for the greater good".Please Log In to post.
