i know, only him a Russel survived.Besides the black guy in that has been in everything! He even does the voice of the Arbiter.Marksman2200
And yet despite being in just about everything, he's still only "the black guy in the movie".
It must suck being "that guy". Unless you really don't want fame or legions of fans, in which being "that guy" is probably pretty awesome.

Keith David:
They Live, The Thing, Mass Effect (Cpt. Anderson), Halo 1/2 (Arbiter), Marine commercials, Requiem for a Dream, and probably more.

Thank you, my mind was going to go crazy over that.I've never seen it, actually, I only played the game which was cool/scary.Bloodbath_87
I remember when my brother rented the game for Xbox, I was always to scared to go outside.
[QUOTE="Marksman2200"]It was Kurt Russel during his prime.JustPlainLucas
Don't forget Big Trouble in Little China. :P
That was also in his prime.[QUOTE="Jandurin"]Um, yeah. It's a good movie. There's an older version too, which is quite strange, but still good imo.Film-Guy
The remake is much better than the original since the remake actually stays true to the original short story and has Kurt Russell.
Wasn't the orginal called the The Stranger from the Cold or something?[QUOTE="Jandurin"]Um, yeah. It's a good movie. There's an older version too, which is quite strange, but still good imo.Film-Guy

dude, walking vegetables. I never even implied that I thought the first one was better. I didn't even call it "the original" but said there was another version, which was older.SEE? This is all I was saying. The 1950's Thing= Yes

Yeah. The original is called The Thing From Another World btw.
i even got the jacket Kurt Russel is using (exactly the same looks, just darker). yeah, norway is cold :D
One of the best. It is my second favorite Carpenter film and it definitely ranks among my top 15 horror films. It is the greatest remake ever and that is no small feat, considering the original is a classic in its own right.
I've never heard of anyone not liking this movie...other than the initial reaction back in 1982 of course.
