I understand this is the TOU, so you have no choice in the matter, but then I don't see why you shouldn't be able to call her retarded, as long as you aren't using it in a context with people who are actually mentally retarded.

I blame the mods. If they had any common sense at all, they'd be able to tell when someone is reporting something petty just to be a douche. They're either too stupid to differentiate, or they ignore it and take action anyway.

I'm sorry, but there are only 4 parties you can attach any sort of blame to. CBS Legal and the admins for making the rules/ToU, the mods for enforcing said rules, and people who get moderated. Most of the time, the blame goes to the person whose reflection can be seen on the glass monitor or on the webcam staring at them. Some moderations are in error, and true errors, either in judgement, interpretation, and/or application (or just a straight-up whoops) get reversed. That doesn't happen much, but a good chunk of the time it's other moderators who seek reversals on things before people even appeal in some way.

They have to take actions. Just like employees at places like maccas have to deal with complete **(#$% #^^= ^^&$&@!s. I think its kind of contractual, its got very set and strict rules which probably restricts a mods free choice. They have to follow the law to the letter to put it that way. I don't blame the mods too much, but I do blame them not being given enough slack.

Yes I have been modded for reasons that I don't consider offensive enough to be modded for. I try to learn my lesson, and then go back into OT society with a new found consideration on how to conduct conversations in this place. :P
