At my highschool (96-00) grunge was just fashion like ripped jeans and a flannel. There was 1 person that went overboard and did the bad hygiene thing and his parents were weird hippies.
Also notice how much thinner high school kids were then than they are now.

Most kids at my high school were thin. Very few were fat. And that was just a few years ago.

Most kids at my high school were thin. Very few were fat. And that was just a few years ago.My school was like that too.
The girls denouncing them sound like such little bitches. The girls themselves seem like a blast.
Of course it's the kind of look you can only pull off if you're moderately attractive to begin with. Some girls have to pull out all the stops. But if you're sexy you can afford to dirty it up a bit.
It's interesting. It certainly reminds me of when I was in high school. Any school has these cliques who judge each other put each other down etc. They call the 'dirty girls' negative etc. but really expressing yourself, even the dark parts, it is a real shame to just denounce it and say its bullshit negativity. Always gotta attach negatives and positives and labels we humans.
