Theres a BET, but no one consideres that to be racist, its just accepted as normal. Or what if a college said it was proud to be historically white, would that be racist? Okay, before I say anything else I want you to know that I am in no point here saying that any race is better than the other, in fact this thread is against racism. Anyway I've been watching Making the Band 4 and the coreographer picks on the white kid basicly saying he's acting white and that its wrong. I usually just forget about such things but it really ticked me off and made me think. I've noticed that modern society is creating an image of being white or "acting white" to be wrong. Think about this. If a person makes obvious and open racist remarks to a white person then its O.K and funny. But if a white person makes even the most simple statement, it could turn into racism against a black person. I've heard of a white people getting charged for racism for calling a black person Black. Imagine if the woman from Making the Band was white and that the kid she makes fun of is black. If she said that the black kid was acting black and that it was wrong, then it would be INTERNATIONAL news. It'll be covered on CNN and other channels discusing how racist it is ( it is racist but the point is that the white person's racial respect is ignored.). Yet if the person was white it would be completely ignored... does anyone else think that this is just wrong? Now, there's obvious racism, subtle racism, and something that just isn't racism, and the latter is most likely the case in all instances of racism. Other times, in more common situations, it's not racism at fault, but a mocking of a certain culture in which a certain race is dominant, like the Hip-Hop Culture. The second you start acting like a rapper, you're black. You think it, everyone does. Why? Why not Asian? Is it because they're all smart? It's generalizing based off different CULTURES. CULTURE is the key word, not race.

There's always somebody that needs something to cry about, and that's what racisim is, a something. Trust me, there will be a day when everything will be Terrible. Telling another person their butt smells will be considered just as bad as stabbing someone.

OK first off I call bull crap on the "racism is prevalent because of slavery and segregation" claims. Racism has been around since the Neanderthals and it will always be around until a black hole sucks the earth and the universe into oblivion. I see blacks hating blacks all the time. Jamaicans are historically hateful of Haitians, Venezuelans tend to hate every other Latin race in South America. America at one point hated the Irish and Scots. Asians are historically racist of everyone, even of Asians mixed with other nationalities.

The only people I see saying "Stop acting white" are the ones who have failed at life. Why wouldn't a white person want to "act" like a white person? What're they supposed to be? Gangsta? Modern society doesn't think that "acting white" is wrong.

1) I am black.

2) When I was 10 years old, I'd constantly get beaten up because I acted too white.

3) The beatings gradually stopped as I got older and my peers started becoming more mature.

4) Kids are idiots.

5) Most of that pre-processed pop poop is targetted at kids. And idiots. Because if that crappy music is targetted at kids, and kids are idiots, then that kind of music is targetted at idiots.
