I would consider Lion King and Beauty and the Beast to be among the greatest animated works ever. But now days they don't make anything good. There's Pixar, but they are pretty much a seperate studio.

Pixar just isn't what Disney is to me.
I love Disney, but Pixar is just. Average to non-amusing. :|

[QUOTE="spazzx625"][QUOTE="kemar7856"] wtf bolt and meet the robinsons was cgi bolt is in #3 they had Miley Cyrus and john travota doing voice acting meet the robinsions was cgi but no disney channel brats so its up there with pixar

You can't say something like 'they ditched animation' and then tack-on requirements that only certain actors can do voices for the movies? Also, CGI = animation.

its not a requirement think of it as more like a template for 90% of their movies ussuly only the ones that goes to theaters can bypass this

i want the days of 2D hand drawn disney animated movies back. not the stagnating CGI ones that all use the same kind of humor, are uninspired, and have a soundtrack consisting of nothing but 70's disco hits.

That movie was funny but it was random as hell.

 I used to love that movie :P.

But, yeah, it was kind of random lol.

I agree, except for the Dreamworks part. Dreamworks has had some good animated films, like Shrek, but overall they've made films that are really crappy or nothing out of the ordinary.

Anyways, some of my favorite Classic Disney films (Excluding Pixar) include... Peter Pan, Pinocchio, Aladdin, Song of the South, Hercules, and The Jungle Book.

Is anyone aware of The Princess and the Frog coming out soon? Disney is back at traditional animation. :D

On the one hand, I'm glad Disney is finally doing something right in regards to animation.

On the other hand, I'm not so glad that that trailer seemed horribly racist for some reason.

Racist? What was so racist about the teaser? Is is because it's a black princess? Just because Disney has now introduced their first black princess doesn't mean it's racist. Don't be silly.

I like quite a bit of the golden age of Disney with my favorites being Peter Pan, Fantasia & The Jungle Book. I still like most of the golden age stuff for the animation but some of the female soprano-type singing can grate on my ears now and again. I really enjoyed the renaissance of their animation studios when they hit with The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast and most notably Aladdin, but I really think they started to stumble a bit starting with The Lion King and have just been hit and miss ever since then.

Pixar-wise, I like The Incredibles the most, followed by Ratatouille, and I actually went to see Toy Story in theaters as a kid! Lol, anyways, normal animated movie-wise, I'd have to say The Rescuers Down Under, as a kid, and Aladdin now. :)

I have recently been on a Disney DVD buying spree. My favourites are Fantasia, Fantasia 2000, Lion King, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Alice in Wonderland and The Jungle Book. My favourite ever Disney scenes are Stravinsky's Firebird in Fantasia 2000 and Night on Bald Mountain/Ave Maria scene in Fantasia. I can't wait when they are both released on Blu ray.

Zan_Puppet

It's like, the only criteria for determining whether or not someone is bad.

"So what did you think the death of Bambi's mother?"

"Honestly? It didn't bother me that much."

"Yep, we got a serious sociopath, here."

It'd be cool if there was a Beauty and the Beast ride at Disney World or Land. Peter Pan wasn't my fav Disney movie ever, but it's my fav ride at Disney World. And since I love B&tB, I wish they'd make a cool ride for that too.

No, the caste at World is from Cinderella. The castle at Land is Sleeping Beauty's. I believe B&B castle is at the Disney in France, because technically that's where B&B took place.
