"Here Google Chrome completed the SunSpider JavaScript benchmark in a average of 1,791 milliseconds, nearly half the time that Firefox 3.0.1 took to complete the test. In this test Google Chrome absolutely blows away IE."

strange about that cause i actually find it slower than FF3 on loading pages even if flash is quicker, maybe cause of the lack of an add blocker, hoperfully google allows ad blocker plus as a plugin
I'm pretty impressed. I downloaded it at work, I'm a Mac user at home, and from what I can tell its definitely faster than Firefox and IE.
I do wish they had the Firefox feature to delete all information upon exiting the browser.
Although I see this as a kind of pointless move by Google, I do welcome the browser. I don't see myself switching anytime soon, but competition is always good for the consumer. It'll be nice to see IE and FF incorporate some of Chrome's features (like the pr0n mode).
Oh, and I couldn't use it even if I wanted to, since there's no Linux version.

dont get your hopes high. Chrome will probably never have ADblock (the reason why I use FF3) or add-ons as many as FF3.
It's open source. I'm sure AdBlock will make a Chrome version soon.
Sure, but you should also keep in mind that Chrome is Google's web browser. Google makes a lot of money off of ads. Why allow an extension that will hinder their business?
