But being on TV and stage is not a normal thing for most people...Wolls

I meant that I think its total normal for every man to wear it whatever they do. Covering up blemishes, dash a little eyeliner or mascara for affect. Why not?

Are you saying you wear mascara and eyeliner, too...?

I wear foundation everyday. I only wear mascara and eyeliner together when I have my music performances. Its not meant to be an emo or goth thing. Its more of a clean look.

In my opinion, foundation is pushing it. It's subtle though (as I gather from my meager understanding of such things), so I guess it's verging on acceptability (once again, in my opinion). But mascara and eyeliner, in front of a large crowd, no less? I'm fairly sure someone will have noticed. If not a guy, then almost definitely one of the girls. Do you really want to be known to the opposite sex as 'the boy who wears makeup?' I wouldn't want to.

I already am known as that. and I like it. It definitely is a conversation starter for girls and me, haha. I like the eyeliner and mascara, and girls like it too.

Bigger response than I thought...

I seriously recommend foundation to teens with acne problems. Its made me a lot more confident.

Shmiity
It can help, but you have to remember to wash it off before going to bed or it'll make the acne worse. ;) For me, being a girl, I don't wear ANY makeup. It makes me break out and I feel a lot better if I just don't wear it. I haven't worn makeup for four, almost five years.

[QUOTE="Wolls"][QUOTE="Shmiity"] Totally, I dont see how its not normal. Everyone on TV and stage is wearing it. But casually, its less common. I think men are afraid to wear it.Shmiity

Eyeliner and mascara is used differently. Eyeliner is to either make your eyes bigger or smaller (white eyeliner = bigger, black eyeliner = smaller), and mascara is supposed to make your eyelashes longer. :? I don't know why a guy would go wearing mascara.

Well I think you mentioned you're a musican. Performers kind of have leeway to wear whatever they want. Normally though, it's not something guys do.

I was going to add straight men as a stipulation to that, but most of my gay friends don't wear any either.

Yeah I know a couple of gay guys too. They don't wear makeup either. Maybe it's just attention seekers.

Ahhh, I've never started wearing makeup, but I do paint my nails quite often. It works with my look, and I enjoy doing it=P

I've thought about eyeliner or eyeshadow maybe, but never decided if I can pull it off or not.

You're wearing the wrong ones. :P Actually good, high-quality makeup doesn't cause either acne or rash... it just sits there, quietly, making your skin look good and non-itchy in the process. I have hyper-sensitive skin that easily breaks into eczema, and I wear a primer, foundation, various eye shadows and everything else, every day. Never had a problem.:)

If I have an unsightly zit I will sometimes use my wife's coverup thing (can't think of what it's called) that makes it blend in with your skin, but that's about it.UT_Wrestler

negative.

I apply a moisturiser at night though, I don't think it's manly to age prematurely from poor skin maintenance.

The only time that I wore makeup was during a school play when I was in the 5th grade. For me, it was the equivalent of getting neutered.

Seems really weird. I did know one guy who used to put on lip gloss and eye liner and I didn't even notice until I saw him putting on the lip gloss. Honestly I think it's really weird and I'd never do so. The only time I ever did was for my moms wedding for the "lols" She had a make up artist doing all the ladies make up and I was like "My turn!" and sat down in the seat and she just covered up some of my acne at the time. Make is for ladies imo.
