if anyone plans to move to California, i warn you DONT! reason is because right now California is the most worst place you can ever live in the US. this state is so broke and the state government still dont want to stop spending (Decorated state run Senate) and still push for bills will cost bond money for projects that are meaning less, and continue to fool voters to vote for bills that will cost the state more money.

last year the voters (thanks to politicians that spin off as a good measure) voted for a high speed bullet rail road system that will cost the state $10 billion. problem 1. the state does not have money at all how are we going to pay for this? 2 this is so stupid no one will use this high speed rail system because over 50% of people who live in California are people who works in service house call industry. yes it will be cool to make it from LA to San Fransisco in 45 min to one Hour and 30min but what good does that make if a lot of people does service for a living? a service person cant get from house to house with the rail system, they wont carry there tools on the train. the state is so big that this is use less. this is no Japan, this is not New York City, or the whole East Cost of the US.

Also studies done over and over are starting to prove that the amount of people that will use this rail system wont cover the cost of the rail system at all. and to add on top of that, China is already offering bids saying they know what the fast rail system will need and can build it and run the project for us. and the morons in government is actually taking in China's offer. so they is a BIG chance China will get the project and we will never see any of the money circulation here in CA it will all go back to China. AND China asked to get a guaranty once the rail project is finish, even if that means the rail system becomes a major fail they still will have to get paid. Well if the project is a fail and no one will use it, how will China get that money they are promised to get? Tax payers in CA will have to fork over the bill.

And there has been a lot of reviews that the project will not cost just $10 billion. at the it can cost from $45 billion to $83 billion for this rail system. the feral government already they will give $24 billion for this project (more tax money going down to waste).

and there are other reasons why it is a bad idea to move to California the new Governor Jerry Brown wants to own turn prop 13 which put a cap on property tax so it doesn't keep going up and he wants to over turn that along with the other Democrats. and the scam artiest in the CA state capital tricked the voters into voting prop 23 the "green" bill, at the end that bill will force business to pay extra taxes and fees for stupid reasons. they will have to pay to have the right to work and operate business depending on how much "green house gases" they emit if they dont have the credits to do it they cant operate until they get the credits they need.

CA is only good to visit for a vacation or something like that.

I live here in CA and i have to put up with it. DO not make the mistake and move here. and if you live in CA do not put up with this. when its time to vote, vote the the suckers out of office and over turn the bills that are destroying this state.

The title should be changed to "Don't move to California"

I was in Cali last week for vacation and I loved it.

Psst! It is in the south. It's actually along the southern border. Couldn't be more southern without being Mexico actually.

Apart from San Francisco, I have no interest in California, so for now I will stay in good ol' North Dakota, where the winters are bleak and barren but the economy is through the roof. :D

Technically part of California is south as well but you wouldn't call it part of the south.

In many ways, Texas is like Cali, except with no state income tax and without a terrible economy. The only thing that would make me want to live in Cali is San Francisco.

why? with the new "green" bill will make San Francisco to be the testing ground for charging people permission to drive in the city. fees of $3 for coming into the city, and $3 for leaving the city and still charge you the toll fees on top of that. and the funny thing is that green bill cam from that city.

umm yes let think about it. who emits carbons into the air? name all the companies that do. cement company, UPS, FED-EX, small businesses that do house calls. factories that makes the things you use everyday, phones, PCs, car parts, spas, furniture etc. on top of that the "green" bill gives teh right for "CARB" freedom to add taxes and fees to gas. CARB already said thanks to prop 23 they will try to push to add fees to gas and that will raise gases prices to $6-$9 per gallon.

CARB even said any place that gathers a lot of cars like UCLA, USC. those places will have to pay a carbon fee.

and what does that all mean higher prices when buying things. it will cost way to much to make anything in CA, and make people lose there jobs or push companies to move out of CA.

I agree, it's terrible. I went there last week, and it was like a maze trying to find parking in the financial district.

Thats exactly why I wouldn't own a car there.

thats is incredibly hard to believe

and when gas prices rose to $4-5 dollars elsewhere in the nation a few years ago, it never rose above $3.75 in California (on average)

thats what CARB wants to do. and the bad thing is they can act on there own and pass "fees" when ever they want because thats what Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jerry Brown gave the power for them to do. Also CRAB is pertty much hidden from the public so far a lot of the people that is running CARB is unknown. what is known that CARB as a whole is known publicly and there agenda is known.

oh btw love how you left out the the rest of my reply. thinking the thing about the gas prices is the only thing that is subject to be false

the WHOLE thing is incredibly hard to believe, i just pointed out the most ridiculous one, i didnt leave it out just cuz the rest cant be proven (feel better?)

care to explain how gas in Cali is gonna be 6-9 dollars while the rest of the countries stays at 2-3 bucks?

if it ever does soar that high it will be nation wide

i can tell u a bunch of reasons why not to live in Cali, but the ones that u pointed out are basically conspiracy theories and have yet to happen

The trouble is that it's a continuing cycle. No one will vote for someone who wants to balance a budget or reduce spending because it means they will lose benefits.

I have always been in favor of splitting California up into 2 or 3 states.. Maybe have a North and South California.. No state government out there comes even close to the amount of people they have to deal with.. I think it will be easier to manage the problems if there were two states from it at least..

It's the earthquakes that worry me the most. I hear California is overdue for "The Big One".
