If it's an astonishing beautiful girl, i can catch myself staring... and i try real hard to not to do that. Sometime if i'm in a place with the same woman and i can't seem to stop, i just get myself out of there. Like when i'm at the gym.

If you wondering what possible situation, think of it if you were running behind a woman when on treadmills. imagine it for a moment. now you might know why i might just leave for a while or do something else.

Often times though if i'm staring for any other reason, i'm day dreaming or thinking. Basically just staring out into space.

I remember there was a huge guy I would always stare at...the guy could lift like 170kg (not lying, really) from the ground to his waist, and used pretty much every machine with no difficulty at all. then like 4 days later, the guy killed himself, turns out he was on heavy doses of roids. poor guy

Wondered the same thing this afternoon when I was there. Anyway there was this girl that kept staring at me and by staring I mean like a hungry tiger looks at a zebra...it was very..awkward. I had some brief looks and after a while I remembered I had seen her before.

Turns out we know each other so maybe she was just checking if I wasn't the wrong guy. I liked her when I was like in 8th grade she was in 11th, we did the same extracurricular activities and I had virtually no chance with her.

I remembered how she was back then and I stared at her now, 80 more pounds do no good to anyone. I lol'd in my mind while thinking "I "liked" this girl?!"

Moral of the story, yes I stare.

I actually got told out today by a girl that claims I was staring at her. She started out "Why do you keep staring blah blah blah..." and that's all I heard because whenever a woman yells at me the words just kind of become loud squawking. Anyway, I was NOT staring at her. Staring is before and after workouts (and is also the reason I workout). Not during.

My friend and i practically had fans in our gym after we came there one night and had a leg lift competition. there were like 20 people standing by us when we maxed out the machine at 1,250 pounds. what was funny was that this one dude in the crowd tried to impress everyone and lift 1,000 pounds, lets just say his legs didnt agree with him. i do p90x now so my days at the gym are numbered

I don't believe this at all. 1250 pounds? Only if you're a body builder.

That sucks.. Why is that you think? the female-only gyms would be anymore expensive then the mens? to offset the loss of not having the men in the gym? and i really don't mean to stare, but you ladies are all so pretty. Can't help myself sometimes. sorry. :)

Lol, im 6'1, and was 300 pounds at the time and have been big for most of my life. i have very large calves and leg muscles because it takes a lot of muscle to hold someone that big up. to be more specific, we put 11 caddies on the bars which filled them up and then convinced a guy to then get on top of the machine and he was about 230 or 240 so we in turned lifted that much weight. with a full bar and a person on top, you can see why we had so many onlookers even though we could only get up 3 or 4 reps

Yeah, probably is making up for the loss. All of the women's gyms around here are privately owned, so I'm sure that plays a role in the price also. The ones that aren't (like Curves) tend to be in VERY small locations so I can't imagine they have a whole ton of members either.
I've been guilty of staring myself, so I understand to some extent. :P

I make casual eye contact with people but I wouldn't call it staring. I have to look somewhere when I'm working out and people watching is always entertaining.

People stare (mostly others teens) at me sometimes and I try not to stare at others. The weight I can do for wrist curling, shrugging and some other things is a lot for my size.

The gym brings out interesting personalaties. The best way to check people out is actually looking via one of the many mirrors in gyms and all the angles they create. Whats more entertaining is when some attractive woman walks by and watching how all the different guys try to subtly or not so sbutly catch a peep.

I get stared at everytime I'm there which is often. It probably has to do with the fact that I'm quite fit and handsome :). From guys or girls I generally take it as a complement. Guys tend to look at other guys in the gym for comparison to themselves or for admiration of someones physique.
