What's the difference between emo and scene?Neon-TigerI'm not exactly an expert or anything, but they blend sometimes. Emo kids are just... emo, and a lot of times they're also scene. The "scene" is mostly based on music and bands, and a lot of times scene styles and whatnot are determined by bands. An example everyone would know is Pete Wentz. There's a lot more to it, but I don't feel like typing anymore about it.
What's the difference between emo and scene?Neon-TigerEasy.
I've been in the scene for 8 years.. I don't call myself a scene kid. To me the Hardcore scene is a part of my life..
Me too bro, HxC for life. I cant imagine living my life any other wayColor [QUOTE="Morning_Revival"][QUOTE="Neon-Tiger"]What's the difference between emo and scene?ROH_PH34R
that made me laugh xD best answer I've heard ever hahahaha
Its true though, atleast where I live. I love the scene kids around here. Beautiful and energetic xD Emo kids around here are beautiful and depressing  Dont know if thats true for everywhere, but around here ti is.Do what makes you happy. If that involves being unique and dressing in the exact same clothing that millions of other children are wearing this season, so be it.guynamedbillyPretty much every "stereotype" is like that, which is why i hate stereotypes.

Hell yeah. I've been to hundreds of shows, and the enviorment is amazing, nothing like it. Well when you get a good show, not kids who cause problems and ruin the night. Seriously though the only thing that sucks is here in CT, all the venues are getting shut down because all the people who go, cause a ruckus and like fight, and break **** and they just don't enjoy the music anymore. It is tough to find a good show these days. but I still will always call it home. A place to go to when things are tough, and the brotherhood is always there for you.
I go to Warped every year for free since one of my friends is playing in it. haha xD I use to book shows as well. if none come by you, try looking into that. it's costly sometimes but totally worth it.
I book a show once.. a grand for the venue, 1200 for all bands, and still walked out with 1200 profit. best day of my life. enjoyable and everything.
but find a small venue if anything and just start talking to bands that want to play. start with local bands, then bring in one or two big names to draw people to your show.

Nope. They can do whatever they want.sammyjenkis898My philosophy too. As long as they don't impose their way of life (that is, the 100% emo's and not posers), then it's fine by me :)

Yeah I hate everyone who lives their life differently than me. So much that I could kill innocent animals for it. How dare they!

Next time you want to say an emo band just say something like Kill Hannah or Eyes Set To Kill.

Much as a new generation of gay men and women reclaimed the once-perjorative term queer as a badge of pride, honor, and identity, so too did gay punk bands defiantly christened their sexually charged music Queercore. What sets queercore apart from conventional punk is not its music - which is typically intense, energetic, and raw - but its lyrics, which explore themes of prejudice, oppression, and same-sex attraction with rare honesty and insight. The best and most provocative queercore bands, like Team Dresch and God Is My Co-Pilot, make records that harken back to punk's glory days, fueled by the same hatred of society's conventions and mores. The difference is that where punk once promoted nihilism and destruction, most queercore records are driven by an overwhelming instinct for survival - the music celebrates its outsider status, refusing to cave in to the so-called moral majority's myopic definitions of what is right and natural. "Alternative" in the truest sense of the word, queercore is punk at its purest, giving voice to the hopes and fears of those whom the powers-that-be would rather silence.
