I have to laugh at anyone who follows any sort of mass fashion trend, regardless of their clique.

From a more philosophical point of view, shouldn't we then laugh at everyone, because we all wear shirts, pants, shoes etc? Because it's socially acceptable? :P

There's a difference in conforming to societies standards of decency and conforming to a trend in an attempt to be a non-conformist.

I never understood why Emo/Scene Kids bother so many GameSpotters. They are just the latest cultural incarnation of kids identifying with eachother in the process of trying to understand and find their way in the world. It's only a natural progression.

And what is that difference? If someone dresses casually/normally to conform with society's standards then you are part of one of the biggest mass fashion trends there are.

Seriously, not to mention the idea that all emo/scene people are that way just in some effort to be non-conformist.. That south park goth episode has twisted some peoples views.

All I've dated in the past 4 years is scene girls, and trust me... they're overrated. PROUDLY SCENE SLUT FREE FOR A WEEK AND A HALF :) Btw, half of those scene girls you guys are sitting there drooling over are mad ugly IRL. You just can't tell because of the 1) ten layers of makeup, 2) PHOTOSHOPPING THEIR PICTURES ALL THE TIME, 3) the "angles"

What's a scene kid and how is it related to an emo? Because although they annoy me, they are far from my biggest irritance.

Judging people based on how they look and it makes you violent? That sounds healthy.

[QUOTE="ROH_PH34R"]

scene girls are hott xD

well not fat girls who try and squeeze into like a xs shirt to be scene. but straight up hardcore chicks are hott

meconate

Hahaha! So I'm not the only one who thinks fat scene girls look ridiculous. As for the topic itself, I don't hate them, nor do I love 'em. I just think it's pathetic how stupid the whole 'emo' and 'scene' phase is full stop. At the end of the day, most of these girls have a 50% chance of looking ugly once all the 10 ton of make-up is removed. Really beautiful girls don't need a load of make-up to make themselves look nice, sure a bit here and there is alright, but emo and scene kids put so much on that you can hardly see their eyes due to The Crow style eyeliner.

They ALL look ridiculous. There are good looking "scene" chick that are just good looking period. The style isn't what makes them hot. What's sad is, if they didn't make themselves look stupid as hell, a lot of them would be look beautiful. Luckily chicks in their 20s wouldn't be caught dead looking like that. :P
