Do the Olympic skiers/snowboarders wear any other protection than helmets?

Even when they are training? I'd assume they would try to avoid as much injury as possible especially when training. Do they wear knee/wrist pads or anything on their back/butt to protect their spine?

The helmets are actually very tough. It takes a lot for them to crack. Snowboarders and skiers are quite resilient; especially snowboarders. Also, when they wipe-out it usually looks a lot worse than it is, because it's on snow, it usually doesn't hurt much.
