No you wouldn't. Bad support, bad battery life and generally a pain in the butt.

I like mine. It's not perfect, as there are a bunch of things I would change, and I wish it had more in the way of functionality, but the ease of setting up random 3.6GB playlists and auto-syncing podcasts (hi, HotSpot!) in iTunes almost makes up for the flaws.

I have a second gen Nano now, but I used to have an iRiver iMP-450 CD player. I still think that thing is the most beautiful portable CD player ever made, plus via its remote you had access to way more neat little features than any of the iPods, from dedicated shuffle buttons, A/B looping, FM radio, and the best of all - you could set up a queue of songs to play after the current one, and the player would resume whatever it was doing (single album, disc shuffle, etc) after playing your pics. That's the simplest thing that I miss the most with my Nano.

That and the iPod's equalizer settings are ASS. Seriously, that entire set of selections is such a joke I don't even know why it's there. Illusion of control or something?
