Wouldnt it be sensible and just plain awesome to charge seperate prices for online gaming. Example. $30/40 bucks a month for online multiplayer use only. And $50/60 bucks for use of apps, music etc. Me personally i watch my netflix through my tv app, listen to my music through pandora from my phone or tv app and surf the internet and all other bs on my pad or pc. So why the fu$@ do i need to pay the full price for shyt i dont even touch. Think it be pretty damn cool if they split the prices if you ask me. Make the servers less overloaded too probably hah. Just a thought, Good night...

The $50 ps+ price would include it all. The $30 price would just be for multiplayer only. How is that not awesome. Netflix did it with streaming and cds. Works great.

And adding them together would be $80 a month for something that currently costs a fraction of that. How does that benefit the consumer?

I'm pretty sure he means giving two options for console services, specifically PS+ He is saying to have one payment that is $30 (for a year most likely) for multiplayer services. Then, there is another that is $50 which includes the music app and netflix/hulu, along with multiplayer access. He is just says $30 a month as a example.
