It seems like you ignored my counter-evidence.BranKetra

your links provided no conection between education ranking and innovation/technology/engineering.

I made the assertion using the two unrelated reports and logic.

i have no idea what your assertion is at this point.

It is not flawed in the sense that certain people benefit from this system greatly. Think you gotta be one bastard to operate the political system for selfish gains and it happens.

I thought I made my assertion clear, but I will state it again without the links which are still available for inspection should you choose to actually do so. My assertion is that your claim about the United States being number one in the world in technology and engineering is debatable. I provided data to support my assertion.

but we are in the top, just not necessarily number 1 by the standards of the survey.

When you use the word "top" like you are then that is what the data suggests.

I don't think anyone believes in our party system. You'd be crazy. It's just another game.

Many countries offer education programs than the United States education system which is one of the most important aspects of a sovereign nation.frannkzappa

education is indeed one of the tripartite goals of the state.

but Europe has exaggerated and nullified any benefits of it's Superior (highly debatable) educational system.

The American public education system needs restructuring and more funding, however i would not base it on European systems.

I am talking about education systems throughout the world and not just the Europe in comparing countries. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/11/27/best-education-in-the-wor_n_2199795.html
yet America is still top in technology and engineering, the rest of the world is not seeing benefits from this supposed superior education.

Technology is a different field of study. general education is what the main issue is.

Whole reason Obama pretty much got elected was because people shunned the Republican party only because of Bush. Everyone ended up voting democrat. But let us not forget Serah Palin also added to that hatred.

the point is that the education ranking system is pointless because clearly other countries are not benefiting from their "superior" education.

America is in the top 5 most practical application of education, despite it's mediocre educational ranking.

It's ranked but categories. In most America fails. How does the ranking system NOT make sense? Everyone above the U.S. has better education in more fields. You act as if a guy that is an engineer and deals with technology knows everything including nursing, business, teaching, certain sciences, journalists, etc. Our regular public school system is falling behind on english compared to toher english speaking countries. How does that even happen?

Most politicians do stick to their beliefs. The politcal system requires compromise, sometimes it is not possible for us to pass a bill wothout conceding a little ground. It can create the appearance that we do not have strong convictions, when the opposite is usually the case.

The ranking show that it benefits them to be more reliable in more fields than just engineering and technology. How is that not a benefit?

Show what? Wasn't your point that the U.S. was only excelling in engineering and technology? So clearly in other areas it must be less in.
