[QUOTE="SolidSnake35"][QUOTE="Rougehunter"]Then why are straight divorces in the U.S at 40%? A gay couple can be just as functional as a straight couple. I've know a gay couple that has been together for 30 years. Longer then I have been alive. What evidence supports the idea that gay couples can't support each other?

Rougehunter

Because most people aren't good people. And sure, two confused people probably think the bees knees of each other. I don't think that's best for them, though. If they found the right wife, they'd be much happier. Granted, many straight people don't... but then most don't deserve that anyway.

Confused? Do you even know what causes homosexuality? While part of the cause is in behavior part of it is in genetics. When a child is still developing they are producing both testosterone and estrogen. But there is a gene that says for which one to produce more of. Homosexuality is really what happens when the certain gene does not trigger and boys end up producing more estrogen then testosterone and vice versa for girls.

Do we have such conclusive evidence about this?

I am asking because so far I knew that nothing couldnt be said with certainty.

Men can't really look after themselves too well. They need a woman. The idea of a man turning to someone else who is also in his predicament is futile.

On the outside, yes. That's the "good" thing about men. But it's also their downfall. They shut themselves away and hide behind this façade of self-sufficiency while their insides are left to rot and ruin.

My point is that it is an event of chance. A child raised by gay parents likely wont make them gay In our bodies sometimes things don't trigger. It is not a mistake, it's just chance. The same can happen to any gene in our DNA. So don't try to point out that homosexuality is a malfunction.

It just changed.

Once the gays and lesbians of the world unite and form the greatest scientific breeding facility known to man, we are in trouble. Nevertheless, their interdependence would amuse me as I contemplated whether there really is a difference between the lovely Jessica and Leonardo DiCaprio. And whether the former is truly worth a life of living in sexual re-education camps.

"Marriage" is a union between a man and a woman. If they want to form legally binding partnerships and have the same rights as married couples, that's fine, just don't call it marriage.

That may happen slowly, as slowly as the number of homosexual people will increase and heterosexuals will be a minority.

By then maybe what is needed for such a feat will be established so no big deal really; you have your big scientific breeding facility on the plans!

The interdependence means that both genders must cooperate. Thats not bad at all.

Nah no camps needed. It will happen on its own...

Gay men cooperating with women? It wouldn't work.. trust me. They fear each other. They know they're one Jessica Alba away from turning to the other side.

Maybe not by today's standards.

But trust me. As society's consistency will change so will the way each gender treats the other and the way each people of one sexuality treat those of another sexuality.

In time... in time.

I reckon legal marriage is ok I guess... but they shouldn't be able to be married at a church.

"Marriage" is a union between a man and a woman. If they want to form legally binding partnerships and have the same rights as married couples, that's fine, just don't call it marriage.UT_Wrestler

It's also only for people who don't have sex before marriage. Oh whoops, lol, we'll just ignore that one because that's not convenient for us hypocritical straight guys, amirite?

Like I said homosexual people will most likely not frown on the minorities in the future (the heterosexuals) so they wouldnt see something like that as a threat.

By any other name would smell as sweet."

Not true.

They shouldn't have to change the word.

I love the straw man arguments; rebuttling against a point that never existed in the argument to begin with
