(III) My friend "Syorks" and i had a debut about if God used Evolution to create the humanity or not. We both believe in God. Syorks believes to what the bible says in full trust, and i believe that the bible is a book that had been written by many authors in different times and there are some mistakes (It had been written by humen...so of course there are some mistakes...).Some authors didn'twrote reallywhat happened, they wrote what they think that happened or even sometime they invent things (because of the fact they didn't know what really happened).... For example in the first Chapter of the Book of Genesis it says that god create the man and the woman at the same time but in the next chapter it says God create first the man and THEN the woman and that mean that there are more than one author and they not having the same opinion. Syorks believes to everything from the bible but i believe that we were created from the monkey before 3 million years (and BTW i'm a Jew...lol)

So we decided to take our debut to this forum. so are you with me or with Syorks?

Yay, but Im not one of those dumbs who belive that monkeys will evolve in humans its obvious that the kinship is because a common origin that splited in other lines and every line evolved indepently of the others keeping some traits

When it comes to genetics and bio-diversity, the Bible is a poor source go to by. I'm going out on a limb here, but I'll say the plan God set in motion for life is much more complex than people living 2000 years ago could have comprehend.

That's a terrible reason to not believe in evolution. I mean, that's kind of saying that you're just completely passive ideologically, accepting whatever theories you feel your self-given label should have. That's like voting for Kerry because you're a Democrat.

You can't believe in the bible in full, it contradicts itself e.g.How did Judas die? "And he cast down the pieces of silver into the temple and departed, and went out and hanged himself." (Matt. 27:5) "And falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all of his bowels gushed out." (Acts 1:18 ) Funny that, I didn't knoe that bowels could gush out by hanging yourself... unless that is your 'belief' too.

I'm by no means backing up the Bible here...

But when you die, your bowls release, and you p*** and s*** yourself...

Which is probably what they mean in that second verse.

I believe evolution might have happened and is part of certain species. But I don't think the human species takes a big part of that. I am just not sure about evolution.

Well, one easy off the top of my head contradiction is that it is stated, not sure where.... But I'm pretty sure it's in there, lol.....

Evolution has been observed and is as incontrovertible as it gets in biology; I think what you mean to ask is "Do you believe in evolution as the mechanism for the origin of the species?"
