don't believe in them. Just take into consideration how many living things have died for how long life has been around on Earth, not just humans. Don't you think we would all be sensing something paranormal all the time?C_Town_Soul
what about the talk of ghosts with 'unfinished business' - this theory can lead to the interpretation that all the other dead beings have 'finished their business'
What about exorcisms and people talking in tongues etc?iSpray
No. I have no rational, empirical reason to believe in them.
Anybody ever watch "A Haunting" on the Discovery Channel, though? It's funny how everytime there is a "haunting" the owners of the house contact the Catholic Church to have them perform an exorcism and it almost categorically works. It's like the church is paying for the show!

you're making a lot of assumptionsBoth yes and no... I believe there is more to this world than what we can see. For example, people believe in God, even though no one can see him, but some people claim to be able to see him. I don't necessarily believe in ghosts per say, I prefer to come up with theories to explain what can not be explained. As for practically 95% of the fake BS videos claiming to be ghost recordings and whatnot, I find them entertaining, because they produce fear to a certain amount. I like the whole: "Did you see that!?" feel of videos claiming to have captured ghostly sightings. But then again, some of those are screamers (for instance; Karma Ghost).
So no; I don't believe in everything that is presented to me, claiming to be ghostly and whatnot. And things like orbs, and ectoplasm are just so fake, that it's irritating. But if a thing (video, picture, audio) claims to be able to have some "proof" of a certain ghost existing, I'd be interested, but that doesn't mean I'm going to believe it (or perhaps not all of it, some of it just makes me puzzled)
Well to people who dont believe in spirits and what not go buy a ouija board.... really try it out dont treat it as a joke and do it with close friends.. then come back and tell me you dont believe in spirits ghost or what every you want to call itbsman00
The guys who made Monopoly also manufacture a device that communicates with spirits?
I don't know whether I do or don't. I've had weird things happen to me and I've heard a lot of things happen to close friends that I believe. I've also gone to some "legit" haunted houses and some of them are just old and some of them, I had weird things happen.
I also had a habbit of going with my fiance when we were house shopping to little old houses that were for sale and sneaking in to get our own look before the realtors showed up. We snuck into one that was fairly big and old. We'd checked all the light switches and found there was no power (particularlyt because there was a beautiful chandeleer in the dining room and I wanted to see what it looked like when it was lit. When we went to the stair case, we found it had a lock on the outside of the door leading up to it. when we went up, none of the lights worked and there were no windows so we left and came back with a flashlight. when we went up there again, we opened the first door and there was an empty attick with nothing but a small broken doll. the second door had a weird sound coming from it. when we opened it, the ceiling fan was on. no light switch could turn it off. this room had a seperate room off of it and it had a lock as well and was empty and smelled aweful. when we went down stairs, one of the rooms we had been in was closed and when we went in, the central air was on ONLY in that room. we checked every other vent and there was no air and the central air system was set to off. in a room under the stairs, we found old books from the 80s with lists of hundreds of different day cares from just south of Oklahoma City, all the way to Ft. Worth. all of them had details of when the day cares were let out and it had names of random kids and detailed descriptions.
I don't know what to think of it. That was the weirdest most recent thing to happen to me.

Ii thought the ouija board originated from something else and the monopoly people only got it and manufactured it. kinda like the Tarot cards. I know a lot of prominent publishers that make them.

I'm sorry but I have an extremely hard time believing that spirits of the departed have nothing better to do then to move a glass, make a table lift off the ground, scream at you or communicate with whack jobs like Derek Acorah. If spirits do indeed exist I'm sure they'd be doing things they couldn't achieve whilst alive.

I would, but I'm not a teenage girl. And even if there are ghosts, I strongly doubt that they're sitting around entertaining people with ouja boards.
Since there has never been any substantial evidence to suggest that those things exist, no, I believe it is all bull****.foxhound_fox

yeah i always thought that stuff like ouija boards worked based on the power of suggestion...

Well have you ever tried it?
I cant believe people actually believe in ghost, and to think that an "experience" can decide whether they believe them or not is laughable. once your dead your (if you can refer to a rotting corpse as "you") nothing more than a piece of meat, and no "spirit" flies out of your body and becomes a ghost. There is no "spirit" inside a person that makes them the way they are. On the other had we have a thing called "imagination" were people make them-self think if they want it enough that something is true. Mayhem48
So what makes your heart keep beating?? i mean its physics really, matter can not be created or destoryed so when you die there is a energy left behind, which is consider you spirit, soul, life force what ever you want to call it....
