Do you believe in ghosts and the supernatural and superstition? Ive had some weird experiences, e.g. in the room with the computer, my mum was out and i heard the sound of babies crying (was this a ghost or was it a cat wailing: obviously i was freaked cos i was all by myself), and on numerous occasions my TV in the same room has turned itself on and off before when it was on standby but i didnt touch the remote at all, but thats not to say i believe in ghosts. Has anything strange ever happened to you? Whats your view on ghosts, the supernatural and superstition? Whats your position on stuff like voodoo and magic - ive heard stories of shamans telling you that youll die within a certain period, say 3 weeks, and then you actually do die, and there have been some record of this happening.

don't believe in them. Just take into consideration how many living things have died for how long life has been around on Earth, not just humans. Don't you think we would all be sensing something paranormal all the time?

what about the talk of ghosts with 'unfinished business' - this theory can lead to the interpretation that all the other dead beings have 'finished their business'

No. I have no rational, empirical reason to believe in them.

Anybody ever watch "A Haunting" on the Discovery Channel, though? It's funny how everytime there is a "haunting" the owners of the house contact the Catholic Church to have them perform an exorcism and it almost categorically works. It's like the church is paying for the show!

Both yes and no... I believe there is more to this world than what we can see. For example, people believe in God, even though no one can see him, but some people claim to be able to see him. I don't necessarily believe in ghosts per say, I prefer to come up with theories to explain what can not be explained. As for practically 95% of the fake BS videos claiming to be ghost recordings and whatnot, I find them entertaining, because they produce fear to a certain amount. I like the whole: "Did you see that!?" feel of videos claiming to have captured ghostly sightings. But then again, some of those are screamers (for instance; Karma Ghost).

So no; I don't believe in everything that is presented to me, claiming to be ghostly and whatnot. And things like orbs, and ectoplasm are just so fake, that it's irritating. But if a thing (video, picture, audio) claims to be able to have some "proof" of a certain ghost existing, I'd be interested, but that doesn't mean I'm going to believe it (or perhaps not all of it, some of it just makes me puzzled)

of course ghosts are real although i dont really like to refer to them as ghost but spirits. my grandfather resides in my house. he passed in the eighties and all kinds of people who come here have something weird happen or actually see him. i have seen him and it was awesome. made me no longer question the afterlife and god and everything. it changed my life, so most certainly there are supernatural things in the world

I don't know whether I do or don't. I've had weird things happen to me and I've heard a lot of things happen to close friends that I believe. I've also gone to some "legit" haunted houses and some of them are just old and some of them, I had weird things happen.

I also had a habbit of going with my fiance when we were house shopping to little old houses that were for sale and sneaking in to get our own look before the realtors showed up. We snuck into one that was fairly big and old. We'd checked all the light switches and found there was no power (particularlyt because there was a beautiful chandeleer in the dining room and I wanted to see what it looked like when it was lit. When we went to the stair case, we found it had a lock on the outside of the door leading up to it. when we went up, none of the lights worked and there were no windows so we left and came back with a flashlight. when we went up there again, we opened the first door and there was an empty attick with nothing but a small broken doll. the second door had a weird sound coming from it. when we opened it, the ceiling fan was on. no light switch could turn it off. this room had a seperate room off of it and it had a lock as well and was empty and smelled aweful. when we went down stairs, one of the rooms we had been in was closed and when we went in, the central air was on ONLY in that room. we checked every other vent and there was no air and the central air system was set to off. in a room under the stairs, we found old books from the 80s with lists of hundreds of different day cares from just south of Oklahoma City, all the way to Ft. Worth. all of them had details of when the day cares were let out and it had names of random kids and detailed descriptions.

I don't know what to think of it. That was the weirdest most recent thing to happen to me.

Ii thought the ouija board originated from something else and the monopoly people only got it and manufactured it. kinda like the Tarot cards. I know a lot of prominent publishers that make them.

It is like the placebo affect, if you want it to work and believe it will work it will work. Your mind sends unconscious signals to your arms and moves them unconsciously to give you the answers you want. That is why "spirits" can only answer people who believe it to work and can see the board when they are using it.

I'm sorry but I have an extremely hard time believing that spirits of the departed have nothing better to do then to move a glass, make a table lift off the ground, scream at you or communicate with whack jobs like Derek Acorah. If spirits do indeed exist I'm sure they'd be doing things they couldn't achieve whilst alive.

No. There is no actual proof of any of this, it always has a logical explanation. There are no such things as ghosts.

I would, but I'm not a teenage girl. And even if there are ghosts, I strongly doubt that they're sitting around entertaining people with ouja boards.

Actually what can be consider as a ghost..? Dracula? Zombies? I always ask my friends bout this. As i m an asean so we have our own version of nasty ghost and no no to dracula or zombies...For us if it is a female ghost it surely dress in white loose long gown and definitely long hair and shadowy face. Male ghost m not so sure as to my own thinking...may be male didnt admire much the job as a ghost. So...What i want to know how if.....those who believe that dracula exist and it is well known that to chase away dracula is by showing a cross at him....and those who believe in asean version of ghost who only can be chase away by reading verses of Al-Quran or for chinese they believe sticking a paper to stop the ghost. So...so what u think will happen if all this peoples switching places and confront the diffrent type of ghost. Wonder...what will happen?

I cant believe people actually believe in ghost, and to think that an "experience" can decide whether they believe them or not is laughable. once your dead your (if you can refer to a rotting corpse as "you") nothing more than a piece of meat, and no "spirit" flies out of your body and becomes a ghost. There is no "spirit" inside a person that makes them the way they are. On the other had we have a thing called "imagination" were people make them-self think if they want it enough that something is true.

Just come back and say its not real once you see your pictures fall off your wall, your DVD rack gets tossed on the floor, lights regularly going on and off even though the wiring has being fixed, taps going on and off in the night, TV coming on and channels changing tell me that was just my imagination, and I'll sign myself into a mental institute.

Mayhem48

So what makes your heart keep beating?? i mean its physics really, matter can not be created or destoryed so when you die there is a energy left behind, which is consider you spirit, soul, life force what ever you want to call it....
