[QUOTE="Godly_Cure"][QUOTE="Dark__Link"]Why not both?mohan88
Stole my answer.
Stolen my thread. that was a nice thread BTWStop these evolution/religion threads already! Look what you did to this poor bunny...
Shame on you.
Both. They can tied together. The search for the truth applies science. So why not both?
Btw, I beieve in the here and now, until things are proven and disproven we only have so much basis to judge upon and believe.
And I believe in the Flying Spaghetti Monster.:P
God makes at least as much sense as the big bang (nothing existed, then an explosion that could not possibly have existed created everything. Great theory, huh?)Gallion-Beast
Hmm, let me think. Who's word should I trust? Primitive people from thousands of years ago, or a 21st century scientists with state-of-the-art technology? Hmm, I wonder.

who says God couldn't have used the big bangas the methodto create the universe? Genesis isn't trying to teach scientific facts.

Actually, EVIDENCE (or lack thereof, in this case) says God couldn't have used big bangs to create the universe.
Here we go again. Where's the option for "I don't give a ****" Anyway, here's an awesome picture:

What good does being a Scientist and having technology do if none of it actually helps make the theory? lt's certainly not based on scientific fact or anything gained from state of the art technology. l was not argueing that God's existence is in any way more likely, nor that you should believe it. lt simply has at least equal proof to the big bang (or any other as yet unproven theories). ln short, trust whatever the hell you want, you've about as much chance of being right as anyone else.[QUOTE="jackelhunter"][QUOTE="agilefalcon16"][QUOTE="Gallion-Beast"] God makes at least as much sense as the big bang (nothing existed, then an explosion that could not possibly have existed created everything. Lack of evidence isn't evidence :? What scientific evidence is there that some sort of god didn't create the big bang?[QUOTE="jackelhunter"][QUOTE="agilefalcon16"][QUOTE="Gallion-Beast"] God makes at least as much sense as the big bang (nothing existed, then an explosion that could not possibly have existed created everything. there isn't any proof that God could not have used the big bag to create the universe. oh, and what is this "proof" you speak of?

I believe in science.
"There is no such thing as miracles or the supernatural... only cutting-edge technology." - Revolver Ocelot
Love that quote.
This would be the, what, third time this thread has been made?
My answer remains the same: they're not opposed.
I don't believe in Science. I don't worship Science. I don't believe the Son of Science died for my sins. Don't you see how the very question is flawed?
The question you asked is:
Do you believe in the process by which knowledge is acquired through observations and experiments or in a magic man in the sky that grants wishes?
The question does not make sense. You can have both. But what's the reason to believe in the latter? Hard evidence is the reason to believe scientists. What is the reason to believe an ancient fairy-tale?
